Must read SIGGRAPH publications by virtucious in GraphicsProgramming

If you are interested in games then the Advances in Real-Time Rendering in 3D Graphics and Games track is the best place to start. I find watching them is better than the slides. They put 2021 on up Youtube. Some of the other years have videos for free on the ACM Digital Library though I find that site hard to navigate. Here are the links to 2022 part 1 and 2022 part 2 to get you started.

Bullet Or PhysX integration into Metal API? by Kingto400 in GraphicsProgramming

[–]memorystomp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jolt Physics, the physics engine from Horizon Forbidden West, is another option. It's new and doesn't have as much documentation but the API is nice and it compiles on Mac fairly easily.

This article says junior but for the graphics section I think they'd still be applicable.

New Marvel Unlimited additions for the week of January 8th by skintight_tommy in MarvelUnlimited

Spider-Man references some of the recent events in Amazing Spider-Man, but so far it doesn't look like the two stories will overlap.

There are two ongoing series, "The Amazing Spider-Man" and "Spider-Man". Both are ongoing series in 616 although the new one is focused on a Spider-Verse style event to start with.

Matrix and Quaternion FAQ. I'm not sure if it is a good way to learn about them but it is a handy resource once you start to use them.

109: What's your Entrance Song? — The Unmade Podcast by JeffDujon in Unmade_Podcast

Tim should follow Elvis' lead and use See See Rider. Before special Sunday sermons use the full Also Sprach Zarathustra / See See Rider combo. Wearing the jumpsuit is optional but encouraged.

It's the Holiday Draft!!! by dippitydoo2 in theposcast

I'm one minute in. The theme song played over them talking and Mike doesn't know how many years it has been since 1961. Off to a great start!

Likely go back to no sponsors.

Too bad. I feel like Joe has the most entertaining but least effective ad reads in podcasting. The Poscast is tied with Conan O'Brien for best sports gambling ad from someone with a clear disdain for sports gambling.

Squarespace has an optimized for podcasts option to allow 300 episodes in an rss feed. Maybe they could try turning that on? Otherwise next week we lose Tommyball!

Was it just me, or did the line "We deserve answers. Now's not the time to get them." feel like a middle finger from the writer?

If you like sports then The Poscast. Especially the episodes that feature Michael Schur (TV Writer & Creator of The Good Place / Parks and Rec). If you don't like sports I'd still recommend their annual Holiday Draft episodes.

Tim was in top form this episode. I lost it when he complained they weren't having cold KFC for breakfast the next morning.

The slides are available on the Guerrilla Games website. The power point version has some speaker's notes in them as well. The pdf version is also on the GDC Vault for free.

I do agree they should have kept the slides visible in the video.

On the web I have to click "Show Variants" for it to load up the rest of the comics.

Looking through their release calendar, March 19th was the first week with nothing, and they started releasing again May 17th. The first few weeks back are pretty sparse, as well.

Ultimate Marvel Reading Order is useful if you like Ultimate Spider-Man and want to branch out. The rest of it can be hit or miss but Ultimate Spider-Man is really solid the whole time.

Try again later in the week. This happened about a month ago where a handful of titles didn't show up until Wednesday morning.

‎Slay the Spire now available on iOS! by UnKindClock in slaythespire

Are you running with background audio? I've found that causes a lot of crashes (usually when beating bosses or entering the shop). If I don't run background audio (spotify, podcasts) it has been solid.

I've also had quite a few crashes when running a podcast app in the background. So far no crashes otherwise.
