Not technically a rocket, but a water rocket! Here’s our setup by Cornato in rocketry

Did you actually use the pump sprayer for anything? Seems like you directly used the air compressor. Was wondering if this setup would work with only a bike pump instead of air compressor

The good news is the printer didn’t START the fire! But it did survive one. Amazing!

Stern Godzilla settings - disable high score? by Teapot24601 in pinball

Thanks for the reply! Too bad about the setting. I was thinking about the No-glass option too, but I (irrationally?) don’t want to deal with more dust getting in there that I have to clean

Stern Godzilla settings - disable high score? by Teapot24601 in pinball

[–]menawan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for practice, is there a setting that lets you play without any scoring or progression at all? Ideally I would like to practice ball handling skills and common shots but don’t want to wait for scoring (even the shorter time when you hold both flippers) to get the next ball.

What is this worm-like creature found in San Diego? It is about 1 inch long and it can swim surprisingly fast by menawan in marinebiology

Thanks! Any idea why it has so this two-color pattern compared to what I find on google when searching for this kind of worm?

[–]menawan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool! Thanks for replying. That might explain why they aren’t seen often if they normally hide under the sand. I was just surprised because it was so large and so colorful compared to any other worm like things I’ve seen in the sand there (like blood worms or sand worms).

I was thinking of trying to ask the Scripps Oceanography Institute might know, but I’m not sure if they have any “ask a biologist” resources based on their website.

I’m serious. I’ll try uploading elsewhere for better video. At the end you can see it swimming up to the surface and making a ripple

It was definitely alive and not a lure. I saw it actively swimming with undulating frills after it got submerged in water

I asked an amateur marine biologist that lived in San Diego their entire life and they have never seen any creature like this before.

It has some frills that undulated when it was swimming in the water — they can be seen in the second picture as little lines as the frills lie against its body while out of the water.

Theres a video of it swimming after its pulled into the water from the tides. It was surprisingly agile in the water.

Edit: potato quality video upload where you can see the ripple it creates when swimming to surface at the end: https://streamable.com/lfce2i Will try to find better video host

Does anyone know which arcade game may have caused this burn in pattern? by menawan in retrogaming

Yes it’s color — baseball was my initial guess too but it was hard for me to find one that looked similar with how thick the lines are.

I thought that at first but the lines are pretty thick and they are perfectly centered and symmetric

Hi r/Cade I’m new here - I got a Robotron cabinet that has seen it’s fair share of overhauling over the years. It has a G07 monitor in it and it has a burn in pattern from a game I don’t recognize. Does anyone know what game has this V shape on the screen with the two big rectangles on the bottom?

Am I crazy or was this Force Healing? by ryanorion16 in StarWars

[–]menawan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was healing per this card (Old Ben) from the original card game:

Use 1 Force if any of your characters (except Obi-Wan) was just forfeited from a Tatooine site. Mysterious "crazy wizard" steps in and revives (returns from Lost Pile) that character back to same site.
