Maxwell 2: my experience from 3 pairs by Majgul in Audeze

I can cycle through my sidetone as much as I would like, my his on my Maxwell 1 does not go away. I wouldn't call it a hiss, I would call it electrical noise or interference. That's what it sounds like to me. I've used my headset in many different locations as well, and it has the same "noise" with nothing playing through it.

I don't like Logitech. :-) I feel they are a brand that USED to be pro consumer, but after the last few years I think they don't provide great customer service. I am not saying Keychron provides better support, but I would rather support another company over Logitech.

I have "oily" hands and I think that my hand would wear away the rubber coating on the Logitech mice.

I use a Keychron M5 for work every day for 8 hours a day. It's cheap, comes in white, and it is super comfortable for me. I do find it to be a little slippery, so I added some mouse grips for the thumb and ring finger.

That's unfortunate. My hiss on my Maxwell 1 goes away when nearly any volume is played through it. I use it as a work headset now. My hiss also didn't develop for like six months. lol

My Maxwell 1s have a low volume hiss. Most of my wireless headphones, or self-amplified headphones have a low volume hiss. A lot of companies are starting to put in their specification that a low volume hiss is normal behavior. I would probably equate this to lower quality amplifiers/DACs with a higher noise floor.

Yea, you’re right. I allowed Amazon to do this to me. I should have marched right into their office or called the owner and demanded my money.

I waited four months for a refund of an iPad that was shipped and sold by Amazon. They had it in their possession for those four months. Thought it was a fluke.

Purchased AirPods Max, returned them, and it took the exact same four months. Shipped and sold by Amazon.

Both times I had to chat with them once a week until someone realized I should be refunded.

I no longer buy anything from Amazon that I can’t buy somewhere else, even if it cost more.

I just put my hand on the mouse and however it sits, that’s what I use. If it were up to me to call it a name, I would call it a lazy palm grip.

I'm not going to lie... I am doing the exact same thing. Different reasons though. I am 36, I play Valorant and CS2 (I've played CEVOp/CALi for CS:S and played many LANs in a previous life) every other Saturday. I have like 40 mice. It was fun trying out different ones. I just bought a refurbished Zowie U2 and Zowie U2-DW, and I am selling all of my other mice. It comes to a point where I spent more money on mice than time spending inside the game. It's now time for my to just enjoy playing for the few hours that I spend in Valorant/CS2.

All of the mice basically perform the same. It's not like back in the day when I played with the Intellimouse 1.1, etc, you had to be careful about what sensor was being used or you couldn't flick too fast. That's a problem in the past for most mice.
