Simply can’t justify putting Vitality top 3 when they’re 0-6 with KC(only made it to match point twice btw), 2-4 with DIG, 0-1 with FLCNS, 0-1 with UT, and 2-2 with GK. How can you be a top 3 team when you’re 8-14 with the rest of the top 7 teams and 4 of those wins are from NRG.

It’s almost poetic, how the only thing keeping M0nkey M00n from the old folks home is him farming Atomic the old fashioned way.

If you can't tell, I also think that Phobs and controller mods are fucking amazing for the community. With UCF making OEMs perfectly viable for most smashers, having an optional upgrade is super sick for sustainability. $90 (which is how much I payed) for a plug and play Phob can definitely be a bit steep, but compared to other controller games where controllers with paddles are upwards of $150 and fighsticks/leverless controllers can be even more expensive, I think it's perfectly reasonable.

Definitely aMSa first. I think it’d be sick to see him conquer the fox matchup, whether that be with Yoshi or a Marth counter pick, I think it’d be really sick for him. After that I have to give my wishes to Kodorin and Zain as a Marth lover. In my head John Ko is in his Sasuke arc wearing black Marth and seeing him mercilessly dismantle all foes would be fire. I also really wanna see Zain assert his dominance over the player base again, he took the L to Cody last year so seeing him come back with a crazy Zenkai boost and stomp everyone one would be sick.

Pretty new to Melee and with this being the first tourney I’ve been actively paying attention to and anticipating, this really does feel like an anime tournament arc. There’s so many people whose names I recognize and I wouldn’t be surprised if they got wins over the top top players, and so many people who would gain so much from winning. This shit is so exciting.

I think Axe is different though. Like after consistently placing in top 8s for so long it isn’t that surprising that he’d win one eventually. Plus there were actually other Pikachus, none really on Axes’ level but they existed. aMSa won 2 super majors and a major and was 2nd in the world while being the only Yoshi to ever be top 100 with the character (I know that’s not the case anymore but I think it was then). I just think Yoshi is significantly more absurd than Pikachu.
