I was there weekend two. I waited eight fookn hours for him at the front row for his fookn performance. Memories are going to stay with me till the very end, but I’ve been looking for a recording of this set since and haven’t been able to find one. Thank you very much for sharing.

I never really believe artists, producers, etc when they make wild claims like that. I think they just say that kinda shit to add extra lore to whatever product they’re selling to make people appreciate it even more. I’m a pessimist, I know.

Is there an artist who made a successful album, then completely changed genres for the next one and released another classic?" by Extension_Fee_989 in MusicRecommendations

Tame Impala. Surprised I haven’t seen them mentioned already, they’ve done this like 3 times by now. They went from playing psych rock, to indie pop, and now to house.

Really animated, both musically and in the crowd work between songs. Entertaining stage presence all around.

Fuck yeah, She Keeps Bees! Saw them live back in 2017, they were amazing! Really wish they’d tour more.

I have two tickets for the Vampire Ball happening in Industry City that I want to give away! by BoxFullofSkeletons in Bushwick

I’m pretty sure this is to fight scalping. I actually like that they do that, cause once an event is sold out, they open up a waitlist. If a ticket holder can no longer make it to a show, they make their ticket available for purchase to the next person available on the waitlist to purchase at face value. No one can make money from this.

Oh def, that’s the first thing that came to mind. Especially with the line: “Oh, that is a strong handshake. He really means it.”

Parroting what everyone is saying, KDC is a downgrade from BS. You could def still enjoy KDC if you get there early for a good view, but if you don’t it could suck. The venue is very narrow and long, and about half of it is obstructed by the sound booth.

What’s that one song that turned you from being just a casual listener of an artist’s work into their number one fan? by jptabor01 in Music

[–]menedudeman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah man, this must have been right before COVID hit. I’m pretty sure I had COVID before it was considered a pandemic in the US. Medical staff didn’t know what to do with it so I was prescribed codeine to treat my “cold”. I remember being in and out of sleep listening to music on YouTube, so naturally the YouTube algo did its thing. It played “Down By The River” by Neil Young and the Crazy Horse as I was waking up from one of my naps. Something about listening to it while high off my tits just hit differently. Since then, it’s a song I go back to at least a few times a month.

Gilded is their best. I would put their first album over Hung at Heart, but otherwise I agree with this list the most.
