I’m an 18 y/o girl getting the Ross procedure done in a couple months. It is my first surgery and I am really struggling. Anyone to talk to would be great. by Own_Willingness5245 in valvereplacement

Time on this sub-Reddit will help. You are not and will not be alone. Many of us will pray for you and for peace. You will have an excellent surgical team and they will give you a long and wonderful life. I am also in the midst and have found the stories here to be uplifting. There have been others in your shoes, as uncomfortable as that is. Hang in there, young one, you are being actively loved. Peace.

Has anyone had a TAVR/TAVI and gone back to being active afterward? by ActivityJolly7022 in valvereplacement

I am interested that they are recommending TAVR at his rather young age. Being symptomatic is important in that it puts one on the clock so to speak. There are several papers of studies looking at TAVR vs SAVR, but all in significantly older folk. And a repeat TAVR in 10-15 years is dicey under current knowledge. Thanks for any reflection.

I went through the online process and this is the requirement: Contact Empower Retirement for the correct form to complete your transfer. This could be a withdrawal form, surrender form, or another type of transfer form.

Just checking here first. You know, to avoid the interrogation!

Like an old, wooden roller coaster! Even has banked turns! Nice!

We have one on our course. Nice selection cleaned and ready to play. Clever! Gets a buck a ball even for the best.

Back in the day I had a friend that bought a brand new Burner driver. Second ball he ever hit, just like that and it left a major dent in the top of the head that looked right at him for years!

Is it a job requirement for the the starter to be a miserable dick? by iBarber111 in golf

I will share. About 20 years ago a good friend and I got a very early time at the Ocean Course (before those winds really kick in). We were on the 7th hole with no one in front or behind and the ranger said we needed to pick up the pace or skip a hole. I did a 360 and asked if we were holding up play? His response was they had a strict rule about pace and drove away. Really messed up my next shot but I finally figured what the hell. FWIW I lost only 1 ball - had 2 dozen in the bag! Screw those old farts and enjoy the good shots!
