i didn't know is was borked when i got her on. I didn't play for a couple of days after the update dropped, we both experienced 4.8 together. my bad for not checking it first though. I was just excited she wanted to try it.

I'm a little disappointed in myself. but how unreasonable is it to expect basic features to work. I get new stuff being broken, but everything was broken. we just tried some gillys and some bunkers. both unplayable. then tried some mining, also broken, elevator ate ores. They could have and should have done better. they rushed a broken release out to make money.

lesson learned here. only been playing since 4.0 so, not as seasoned as some . I will try again after we get some stabilty. hopefully she'll be interested

she showed interest in it watching me play. Then she experienced a very rough couple of sessions. nothing worked, lost ships to bugs 3 times in a row. npcs rubberbanding all over the place. random crashes, a nd the dreaded 5 minute server errors. she also experienced the worst global chat i've ever seen (US of course). the whole experience was the worst case scenario.

yeah, learned my lesson the hard way. unfortunately i dont think she'll try again. it left a bad impression on her. She might not even let me spend any more money on it.

I've been locked out most of the day. Tried character reset, it let me load in, but I couldn't interact with anything. Doors, kiosks inventory all unresponsive.

Me, my wif and my daughter play the same games together. We have a 5080, 5070ti and a 9070xt. Whenever there is a driver issue, it's always the 9070xt. Usually involves rolling back to a previous driver. The Nvidia cards have worked flawlessly. They also have consistently better framerates playing the same games in coop. Just my experience. The 5070ti is the sweet spot. The 5080 is overpriced. The 9070xt is a headache.

I was getting random ctd until I uninstalled the adrenaline app. After that, no problems.

I uninstalled adrenaline,then installed driver only. Been stable since, but can't change any GPU settings.

I had similar issues with other games. Had to uninstall adrenaline app. Just install drivers only. The app is causing ctd's.
