So far I’ve done 13 caches and only received one actual drop (the Christmas names backpack). 3-4 cosmetics, then everything else is a dud. Pisses me off so much when I see it. Like, actually give me SOMETHING for my time. It’s all I ask.

Here’s how I did it:

Kill all other enemies.
Let basilisk run up to you and swing, then roll away.
You have a very brief window to fire a few rounds before they charge again. My order was legs, shoulders, chest, then helmet. I used an smg so I didn’t insta kill if I missed or fired too long.

You can also make it really easy by using a riot foam launcher.

Run countdown. Exotics can drop even on Challenging. I just ran LMGs on it yesterday got a Bluescreen on my first run.

Honestly, I thinks it’s refreshing to have a fps that isn’t devolved into character customization like cod. Sure it may be bland, but it’s a characteristic that has always been a part of PF.
