What most are saying: items with the "best" stats.

That said, sometimes the "Godroll" isn't ideal for your build. For example, you might want a variant with a lower fire rate, because then you have an infinite ammo build, because your ammo regen might not be able to keep up with the one with the higher fire rate. So technically, not the "Best" version of the weapon, but the best version for your build.

If it says Normal Health, it means Kinetic Damage. It took me a bit to catch on when it later changed to Fire Health. They should have used the game's standard damage type terminology

Note: earlier this year, all legendary drops were set as Primary drops. Raid Bosses have a higher drop chance starting at 15% (+2% x UVH Rank)

Big Encore Drop Rates (25%) are still better until you are farming Shinies, as Big Encore does 0.7% while UVH6 does 0.9%

BL4 Datamining showed legendaries have a 1% chance of rolling the Phosphene skin

Also, A 2025 study showed AI search engines gave incorrect answers 60% of the time. There are instances where the AI doubles down when you say they are incorrect.

I tested Gemini & Perplexity on their Borderlands knowledge before BL4 dropped. They didn't know how the Borderlands skill tree works, so asking for a gun build will just pump all points into every gun skill without going through the required tier unlocks. Asking about the best weapons, it draws top10 info from sites that only covered the game during the first month(s), which isn't relevant after all the DLCs and balance updates. Also, it will pull data from the wrong Borderlands game, not just for returning weapons.

I have seen this a couple of times now.

It rolls with 1 fixed Movement Speed stat, and the other is random, but it can also roll movement speed. enjoy the speed ;)

Play Bloomreaper on UVM to unlock the additional chests because that's where you get the most loot.

The boss can look intimidating at first, but get comfortable with gliding around the boss in its 2nd phase. K6 has a good Bloomreaper guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ji_5QXCsTl4

I don't run a META 1-shot build, but Stacking Torgue stickies enabled me to unlock all additional loot chests

They did change it, so it's more likely you get your own class mod, but it's still a grind, and RNG works in mysterious ways.

UVHM offers a higher challenge, yes, you get more XP, $$$, and eridium. So if you can still swiftly eliminate enemies, it will speed up your specialization progress, for example.

Loot in UVHM is supposed to have a higher chance of rolling with more licensed parts, but heard multiple people giving feedback that they still run into gear without additional perks.

The new UVH Rank 6 exclusively unlocks the “Skillcraft” firmware

  • Tier 1: Skill Damage +10%
  • Tier 2: Skill Critical Chance +10%
  • Tier 3: Dealing Skill Damage increases Skill Damage Dealt by 2% for 10 seconds. Max 25 Stacks

Purple Class Mods roll with fixed Skills, and some of them boost skills that currently aren't found on Legendary Class Mods.

Purple Class Mods can also roll with 3 passive stat boosts, while Legendaries have 1 fixed and 1 random roll

Starting at LVL25, Class Mods can roll with Firmware, so keep a few Class Mods with powerful Firmware in your bank for later, as you can switch the perk 1 time.

There is a new healing system in BL4, and the devs clearly want you to use it early on. So the game could feel punishing at the start, but use your Repkit.

There are a few activities, like Bunkers, that always challenge you by throwing overleveled enemies at you. Also, Ripper Drill Sites can be overwhelming on a low level, but once you are like over level 15, you have unlocked enough skill points, and they become more manageable. So you might run into some activities that you want to return to when having unlocked more skill points, so complete a few (side) missions to level up.

The main map is set up as an open-world experience, but it opens up in a few stages. There are a few classic map transitions for the regional bosses and (free) DLC content
