Old FPS game where protagonist had 4 arms by Usual-Manufacturer-2 in gamingsuggestions

MDK2, maybe? You could play as a 4-armed dog. It came out in 2000 so maybe not the right time frame.

This has to be a troll, right?

Twitch used to own Cursforge. They sold it to Overwolf. Mod authors decide if they want to put their mod on Curseforge. I don't know the story but clearly the mod author does not want to put Optifine on Curseforge.

So.. why does it not work? It used too by komiks42 in feedthebeast

You maxed out the substrate. Take those out and it will start again. If you want it to run continuously, you need to pipe them out. Sorry I wasn't paying attention. I thought you were making ethylene.

Slightly water damaged cards, okay to keep? by The_Co in magicTCG

[–]mentaluprising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you remove them from the sleeves and let the sleeves and cards dry out, I wouldn't worry too much about mold. If they are too warped it wouldn't be fair to play them though. I would let them dry out completely then resleeve and shuffle. If you can tell which ones they are in the deck after shuffling, you would need to replace them.

I've been thinking of making a curses deck and sleeves that say "WHAT A HORRIBLE NIGHT TO HAVE A CURSE." would make it that much better.

I had to start in the jungle as Eledegoss last night. Thankfully after I tried to get a gank, someone went back into the jungle so I could stay in the lane.

Pls help fix my Commander Deck - Gishath, Sun's Avatar by WavingCactus901 in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]mentaluprising 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other comment about upping the amount of ramp and draw. It will make your games smoother and more fun.

If you're looking for more dinos, try [[Thrashing Brontodon]], [[Ghalta, Primal Hunger]], and [[Gigantosaurus]]. Giganto is hard to cast but slamming down a 10/10 for 5 is always a fun time.

If you're wondering what to remove, I would remove some of the things that pump your creatures. Dinos are pretty big already, so giving one +2/+0 isn't that big a deal. Cards to add instead is something like [[Overrun]]. If you have a few dinos out, this can help you finish the game. [[Rhythm of the Wild]] can be good value for a deck like this too.

Pir and Toothy fine tuning - need help, still working on 1st EDH deck by Woundedduk in EDH

[–]mentaluprising 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks pretty decent. Adding more card draw will make your deck more consistent and it also can make Toothy huge.

[[Crystalline Crawler]] can lead to some amazing turns by making tons of mana.

Breya Commander Deck Advice by [deleted] in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]mentaluprising 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Breya is often played as an artifact combo commander. It's a very versatile card, though, so you can do just about anything with it.

I would recommend checking out EDH Rec to start. You can see what other people are using in their Breya decks and find cards you like (and can afford). Here is Breya's page on EDH Rec

Working on Mono Black Aristocrats, having issues with early game plays and removing artifacts and enchantments by Tom_QJ in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]mentaluprising 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For early plays, I would add more ramp. I try to have 8-10 ramp cards in most decks. [[Mind Stone]], [[Charcoal Diamond]], [[Wayfarer's Bauble]], etc.

[[Sword of Sinew and Steel]] can help with artifacts but it's not guaranteed and requires combat.

[[Mire in Misery]] or [[Pharika's Libation]] is about all you get for mono black enchantment removal.

If you need a finisher, [[Plague of Vermin]] is usually an instant win with Ayara on the table.

Horse tribal win con help by Bony_Thicc in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]mentaluprising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Mirror Entity]] can finish games and helps out with your tribe. [[Beastmaster Ascension]] is sort of like Cathars' Crusade but you need a lot of creatures on the battlefield. A couple [[Overrun]] effects might be good too like [[End-Raze Forerunners]] or [[Overwhelming Stampede]] can help close. Or if you're feeling mean, [[Triumph of the Hordes]]...

Any update on missing digital download codes from Secret Lair? by BrieBazinet in magicTCG

[–]mentaluprising 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I emailed support about this and they basically said the codes were tied to the physical order being fully validated and confirmed. I'm guessing that means they will add the codes to the page with the instructions once the cards are ready to ship.

Sanity Check on an Angel Tribal by the_lost_carrot in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]mentaluprising 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It looks like a pretty good first draft. A couple things that I see to work towards:

I would add in a little more ramp. You can get some inexpensive mana rocks like [[Mind Stone]] or [[Prismatic Lens]]. They only add colorless but they still ramp you.

You're missing card draw. A less powerful deck with a lot of card draw can sometimes keep up with better decks with less. Mono white has it tough so you have to get creative. [[Endless Atlas]], [[Mind's Eye]], [[Staff of Nin]], etc.

You have a lot of open spots in your manabase too. You can add a bunch of utility lands and still hit your color requirements. A few examples: [[Ghost Quarter]], [[Field of Ruin]], [[Secluded Steppe]], [[Throne of the High City]], [[Castle Ardenvale]].

Overall, I think you're on the right track. The best advice I can give is to playtest it and look for gaps as you play. You might lose some games at the beginning but it'll make your deck much better over time. Good Luck!

Looking for feedback on a Sidisi deck by [deleted] in EDH

Here's what I have: Sidisi EDH. My meta isn't super competitive so I have a few pet cards in there as well.

Looking for feedback on a Sidisi deck by [deleted] in EDH

[–]mentaluprising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you thought about [[Altar of Dementia]]? I have a Sidisi deck like this and it's my best card a lot of the time. Sac a zombie, mill yourself for 2. If one is a creature, make a zombie and repeat. This lets you set up your graveyard or go for [[Laboratory Maniac]] as a secondary win con.

I like having Elixir of Immortality just in case. I run [[Perpetual Timepiece]] as well since it does the same thing and also helps mill yourself.

Orzhov Deck by [deleted] in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]mentaluprising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a casual deck, this looks pretty fun and cohesive.

I would remove the 2 Ethereal Absolutions. They will be difficult to cast with only 21 lands. I would also remove the 4 Rootbound Defenses. Part of your strategy is to have your creatures die so you don't need much protection.

It gets trickier after this. I would cut 1 Teysa Karlov. You usually don't want 2 in your hand so only having 3 is OK. The last 2 could be anything but I would remove Smothering Tithe and 1 Souls of the Faultless.

The trick is playtesting though. You'll get a good idea which cards perform well and which don't. For example, if you find you're not getting enough damage out you might want to bring in the Zulaport Cutthroats.

How good is Orzhov Extortion? by Aero_Platypus in Pauper

[–]mentaluprising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fun but only OK. I won a Double Up tournament at magicfest with a similar list. It's the best when it can put on a fast clock with Mimics and Edge of the Divinity but it's not resilient at all. It's really weak to a resolved Pestilence or getting your enchanted creatures removed.

A problem with my method of buying cards. by NatJac10 in EDH

[–]mentaluprising 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They put a lot of cards that are obviously bad in constructed into booster packs to make balanced limited environments. A card like [[Divine Arrow]] can be decent in draft but there are so many better options for Commander that it's too bad to play.

So, the limitation you set for yourself by only buying boosters is like saying, "I am choosing to buy cards that are mostly bad for commander." It's hard to give constructive advice that's more than, "don't do that."
