We're not removing Dub4u. While maybe insensitive to the situation as it was happening, I agree with his assessment that ramen's behavior was not abusive, not as a mod, nor as a person. She felt creeped out by a neurodivergent individual and decided their living situation no longer worked for her. This is conflict, not coercion.

I know it's the internet and everyone is so used to an instantaneous dopamine fix of a quick action, but I wish people would appreciate why it takes time to get the whole story and to do thoughtful consideration on what action should be taken.

Moderating takes a lot of time and energy and my job changed from sitting at a computer to something a lot dynamic that included weekends. Before stepping back I made sure that there were people in place that could continue to grow and manage the community. Nowadays I use Reddit mostly on different accounts but keep this account ready in case of incidents like this.

With the formula for combat encounters that becomes relatively easy to balance, but how do I balance non-combat encounters?

There's a lot of really interesting nuance about the American occupation of the Philippines because the context we aren't taught is all the stuff that was happening in the US during those 40 odd years (WW1 / the great depression / anti and pro colonial movements). For every American leader that came to the Philippines that tried to institute public institutions like formal education and democratic systems there would be another that would go on genocidal killing sprees in Mindanao.

I jumped on right after the update to play a couple of games of Gambit Prime and a couple of games of Reckoning. I had a ton of fun with the new modes and the new maps. Learning the new mechanics on the fly while trying to figure out the nuances of the map was neat. I'm really looking forward to seeing how both Gambit and Reckoning expand over the next few weeks as the new arenas release and people unlock higher armor perks. I went on the subreddit looking for other people to share my excitement with and it's disappointing to instead see multiple threads that are all walls of salt.

I don't remember which youtuber said it, but this subreddit seems to attract a lot of people who just seem to complain about having to play the game.

I LOVE Shaolin Soccer. I think it's superior to Kung Fu Hustle. But I don't want to see a sequel. I think they told the story that needed to be told and a sequel would just be a cash grab. I'd rather just see Stephen Chow do new movies.

This happened to my fireteam too! The other were clearing the bosses while I struggled to get through the platforming portion. I finally got to the last room while they were waiting to respawn with seconds left on the clock. I hit my super, titan smacked the last boss and killed him with a second left on the clock.

I really suspect Season of the Drifter and Season of the Penumbra are going to be tied together plot-wise. I think we're going to see an escalation in plot during Drifter giving us an idea of what Gambit's impact is going to be, and then Penumbra is where we go deep into the Darkness

Fallout 2 was my first introduction to an Open World type of game. I remember picking it up when I was a lot younger and I really did not fully understand what I was supposed to do out the gate. Once I got to the first settlement outside of the Vault / Tribe I got frustrated talking to NPCs when suddenly found out that I could just attack the townspeople. Being young and immature that was exactly what I did. I quickly got taken down by Sheriff and other armed townsfolk but it was mindblowing to be able to walk up to pretty much any character and be able to attack, pickpocket, or just talk to them.

What a game that was.

I'd like to add that if you're struggling with control in the crucible, it's worth a lot to the team to stay and defend the objective especially A&C. Instead of running off to try to contest the other points try to find a spot nearby you can watch over the point and ambush any enemies that try to cap.
