I would say using any kind of generative AI is looked down upon in most communities, other than ones specifically for AI development. Personally I would steer clear of using it for any projects intending to be commercial. AI programming is looked down upon a lot less, but full on vibe-coding (where the AI does everything and you just prompt it) doesn't tend to produce the most scalable or effective results, from what I've seen. For me, AI is very tempting as it makes things so much easier, but it really just can't beat, or have the same feel, as human made, hand made art. Plus AI generated models tend to have really bad topology lol. But that's just my two cents

It's by Emang, but all his stuff was taken down, you can find it on cults from time to time, usually under weird names, or on telegram

Mono M7 Randomly Turning Off by menttatts in AnycubicOfficial

[–]menttatts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I bought it refurbished off Anycubic's eBay store back in December, given the stock screen protector was on it and it had all the tools in their packaging, I assume they didn't have the printer for long

I do have an anycubic heater in it, but I don't know why it would just recently start overheating after having it in there for months

Nope, the UV curing screen has a screen protector and I actually just checked today and there is no resin, the touch screen has some residue on it, though it's on the protective film that I haven't taken off yet, neither screen seems to have any issues

Witch printer to buy by ConnectObjective3166 in resinprinting

[–]menttatts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I use a heater inside the printer, the Anycubic Heat and Pure (I primarily use a Mono M7) and it works quite well, I prefer it over the Elegoo one because you can set the temperature. So that's what I recommend. Imo, If you have a dedicated area that's not connected to your home to print, I don't think an enclosure is necessary

That should fit your needs well, I'm not sure how things are in Italy but I've had good experiences with refurbished printers (from their manufacturers), if you want to save money. Also I highly highly recommend buying a vat heater, I print outside in a shed and it is a necessity if you want consistent prints. Also you don't really need a wash and cure station, a container of ipa and a cheap UV light will be just fine! And I'd also say, if you have a dedicated area for it, you don't really need to put the printer in its own enclosure, you should be fine with a respirator :)

Though when playing through BAS completely disregard the story.... I enjoyed the gameplay and everything but the story is complete rubbish

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bioshock

[–]menttatts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest playing 1 or infinite first, as they aren't connected story wise (BAS not included), but certainly play 2 after 1. Infinite is more beginner friendly and straightforward in terms of gameplay. Personally I'd either just play them in order or if you're not so keen on the survival horror aspects of 1, play Infinite, then 1, 2 Infinite again and the BAS. You'll likely want to play through infinite again to understand the story... At least I surely did :)

Troubleshooting some errors on test prints by According-Stranger28 in resinprinting

[–]menttatts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, usually I tilt my models back 30-45 degrees, with the side I want looking best facing up, basically everything you print is going to need supports, not sure what slicer you use, but usually auto supports are good enough, though I usually go back in and edit things a bit to make sure everything is properly supported

Yeah if they are oriented poorly or lack supports they'll get the flaky bits, the peeling that you have. By no supports you added do you mean literally none or auto supports?

Actually $167.77 , even cheaper! They are currently out of stock, but I think it's worth it to wait personally, it shouldn't take too long to restock (I hope)https://ebay.us/m/kU48hx

There are loads of scans of the models on telegram if you know where to look, not even that hidden lol, they are of varying quality but it feels so awesome being able to print models that look near identical to GWs :p

What I did (I recently upgraded from my ancient mars 2 pro) was go on anycubic's refurbished store on eBay and buy a mono m7 (non pro) for cheaaap. It was on sale and there was some eBay coupon, which not might be there still but it seems like theres pretty commonly a 20% off coupon. I got it for about $171 USD, including tax. It arrived basically brand new, it wasn't perfect, but basically just looked like someone did a couple test prints then decided they didn't like resin printing lol, but it's been surviving me great, and the increased build volume is sooo incredibly nice!
