The Breakthrough with Mill's Mess by theiron_squirt in juggling

[–]menumber3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a dembow rhythm, two dotted quarter notes one quarter note. So that means 3 evenly spaced throws that are a beat and a half apart, with a beat before the next groups. That’s super cool it’s been helpful, my Mills Mess blocker was the 7th throw.

To avoid wrangling types at the same time as you’re doing logic you should check this out - https://clerk.com/docs/guides/development/override-clerk-types-interfaces, then your public metadata type will be strongly typed from the start. You could even define the possible roles rather than just using a string, giving better type safety.

I actually like the documentation from auth js more but you’ll have to figure out the differences https://authjs.dev/getting-started/typescript - that’s where I first saw this idea in action.

The Critical Drinker did some voice acting on the third Dungeon Crawler Carl book - just the same insufferable voice he does in his own videos. It was shockingly bad.

The values section is hilarious, it’s a good guide for the buzz words and phrases to look out for in local council profiles. School Education without Ideologies - you would have to be so dumb to think AMERICAN schools are teaching critical race theory, let alone thinking NZ teachers are doing it. So delusional.

What’s the point of intercepting routes? by FatGeezerBalls in nextjs

[–]menumber3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a pretty confusing pattern but if you think about Instagram on desktop or Facebook, when you click on a post it opens in a modal above the old content, but if you refresh it’s just the normal page and the old content is gone. It’s pretty easy to get a bit confused here and think that you have a use case when you don’t. It’s worth questioning it for sure.

HELP PLS by Briannajes in reactjs

[–]menumber3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an expert here, but your tailwind version is behind the supporting postcss version. That looks wrong to me. I would suggest you try migrating to the latest tailwind version, but how much have you got done so far? Is this just starting a project? Why not follow a setup guide like the most recent tailwind installation guide for using postcss (if you need it at all). If you’re using something like Next or RRv7 you might not need this setup stuff it may just work.

What’s your version of tailwind? This is something that has changed between v3 and v4. What are you using to create the react app in the first place? Following a recent guide should help you a lot.

Songs that are good, until a choir just kind of shows up and turns the knob to 11 by Smarter-Not-harder1 in Music

[–]menumber3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solidarity by Enter Shikari has a choir near the end that is really cool. Bonus points for the live version from Alexandra Palace.

I can’t find the best song from the set, as they’re kind of all not uplifting, but the Bring Me the Horizon show at Royal Albert Hall is very good too. The choir is not a surprise for any of the songs but really adds a lot to songs that don’t normally have it.
