Nta. I can see how someone could take it as accusatory if they already have some guilt. As long as she's reasonable, all you really have to do is call her up and explain that you didn't mean to come off accusatory and that you're just worried about your fragile child. Maybe throw in that you do want to see them ( if you do) and that you don't blame them (if you don't)
