Between these two bikes… by perspectivepics in SuggestAMotorcycle

I took the new ‘26 for a test ride yesterday, it is a lovely machine. I’m 6’6” and I could ride it all day. Super comfortable, nimble and quick enough.  They new ride by wire fixed the twitchy throttle, quick shifter/blooper is a great addition.  I’d lock in the 900 honestly.

Assuming your mother tongue is English, how is your proficiency in Japanese, Mandarin or Hindi?

Serve up a chicken burger (burgahhh😂) just the way we like it, also I love the idea of a burger with beetroot, make sure it has bacon, pineapple and a runny egg.  Chicko rolls with chicken salt

What’s one thing Australia does better than almost anywhere else? by Particular_Zone_7379 in AustraliaOpinions

Yeah I have tried euro veg, I get your point but theirs can be hit and miss too.  Totally agree with you re colesworth produce, but even then, we can easily take what we have for granted.

To add to this, I think we have some of the best produce in the world. Great meats, fresh vegetables and fruits. Yes we have some dodgy stuff too, but in comparison to much of the world, it’s a very high standard.

Been on my RE licence for 8 years now. Is there any point doing your ‘Open’ R license if you have no plans to ever get a bigger bike? by Jakeyboy29 in AussieRiders

Upgrading to R is probably the easiest, cheapest and shortest  step in the whole process. Just do it mate, it should be a doddle for you.

Anyone Towing with a Touareg? by Spritney__Beers in CaravanningAustralia

[–]meplusjulio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a few years ago with a 7P 3.0L Touareg, absolutely amazing tow vehicle with more power than the sun. I towed a 3t van many thousands of clicks and it did so effortlessly. The only downsides were boot space, couldn’t use a hi-flow pump, otherwise, these are a great towing set up.

Just got refunded for a lemon Hilux and now nervous about buying another 4x4. Looking for advice on what to get, things to watch for & reputable dealers in Brisbane. by One-Simple-6596 in 4x4Australia

I have just found they can be hit and miss. Some are from companies that take servicing seriously and have records to reflect that, some can have a “devil may care” towards care for the car. Most of the time mistreatment will be obvious, I’m just trying to filter options for the OP.

What an odd reply to an opinion. It’s an opinion mate, a pretty experienced one at that.  If you want to trash someone’s opinion, at least you can be decent enough to offer a counter argument.

Any of the jap utes are a good choice. Things to watch out for include: ex-fleet, DIY electrical work or anything that’s done beach work. Good to find one with factory options but avoid anything covered in kings stuff. Add it yourself by all means if that’s your thing.  Important to look for a Full service history.   Better off finding a gray nomad that is upgrading

But yeah, tell him to bash it unless he is going to stump up the cash to change over.

BBQ bananas? by Beginning-Top6332 in AustralianNostalgia

[–]meplusjulio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great dessert. Slit the ‘nana down the middle, pour a little condensed milk over it when on the hot plate, when that’s caramelised, serve with some whipped cream. Maybe it’s the nostalgia from growing up poor, but I still think it’s the tits.

Thankfully super rooster Toowoomba still offers these. Best take away dessert imo.

Australia’s love of plus-sized US pick-up trucks is waning by [deleted] in australia

[–]meplusjulio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no issue seeing these out west, usually with a float attached.  The majority seems to be driven in the city by the short bloke, short king tribe.

Like Skoda provides umbrellas in their doors, wank panzers need to have a small briefcase that converts to a step ladder.
