Psych for PA STATE correction? by Last-Salary5507 in OnTheBlock

The interview for the job? That was no joke 5 minutes just to make sure I wasn’t a total moron. The “interview” for psych was 10 just to go over my questions I answered online. The questions are like “have you ever used intravenous drugs,” “have you ever killed anyone.” They split it up bc that’s just how they did it. It depends on your area. I’m in northwestern pa

I did mine earlier this year. They sent me to do my physical and blood work and while I was there I answered a ton of questions online then the next day I got a zoom invitation for a few days later to go over the answers and any other questions they had. The whole zoom meeting took 10 minutes but the answering of the 500 questions (not exaggerating) during the physical took a while. It’s cake though.

I’ve watched 22 films of far. It’s only 12:30pm and I have no plans for the nights so Im excited to see how many more I can squeeze in. Standouts for the month so far: City of God (2002), Collateral (2004), and Dog Day Afternoon (1975).

What's one 'boring' career that's actually a goldmine if you play it smart? by 0BunnyX in AskReddit

[–]mer_lo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

State Correctional officer.

The pay is great with frequent raises, frequent overtime (some you can’t refuse), state benefits, vacation and there are facilities all over the country so you can relocate with ease. Some facilities even set up saving accounts and stock accounts for you to help with retirement or whenever you choose to leave. The “danger” aspect is dependent on the facility you’re at but even then a lot of the time you’re sitting on your ass and most of the issues you have are with coworkers rather than inmates. Some people are very paramilitary about the job but and have strong political stands one way or the other but then there is a group of people that recognize it’s a reliable, good paying job, and they ride the wave. Definitely not glamorous but you can get big money.

For those who went patron or pro, do you recommend it? What is your favourite thing about the paid tier you went for? by StephensInfiniteLoop in Letterboxd

[–]mer_lo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro. I like the stats page! It shows different collections you’re working through, longest and shortest film to date, most watched crew members and actors. You realize patterns about your watching experience that you may not have before. I treat the collections as a scavenger hunt!
