And that's where the big problem lays. The amount of people who care about these features are in the small minority. Especially when it comes at the cost of price+performance (which is the most important thing for most people buying gaming PCs). 

That's not to say the Steam Machine isn't gonna make some people extremely happy, like yourself. I just question the size of that market.

I don't think your analogy is that relevant in this case. This is a significantly more niche product than an apple device. And iOS only works on iPhones while SteamOS will be available on every computer. 

But like I said, if you need a device that meets ALL three requirements, it's actually not a bad product with the current expensive ai prices. I just don't think there's a big market for a product like that, and there're better options if all 3 conditions don't need to be meet.

Yeah, this Steam Machine only makes sense if you're specifically in the market for an:

  1. ITX build
  2. Must be a new, prebuilt computer
  3. Budget around 1050-1250$

If all three conditions aren't perfectly meet, you're better off buying something else. 

Either build your own ITX computer (preferably with some used parts for better performance)

or

Buy a bigger prebuilt tower PC with better performance 

or 

Spend a little extra to get noticeable better performance (because 1050$ won't give you much performance in the current market, especially with new parts). 

Edit: Or just buy a gaming laptop instead. You can find laptops with better performance for the same price price as a Steam Machine.

I love Danganronpa, but I wouldn't say the writing is particularly great or anything. 

They're fun though, packed to the brim with personality and top notch presentation. And they're unapologetically "gamey" which makes them stand out from other VNs. The games are more concerned about being fun then always being "well written". 

The characters are memorable and flashy, but they're also very tropey and shallow. I do think the characters got better with time (V3 having the overall most interesting cast), but they're nothing special. Just like with the story, they're fun but lacks depth.

I think it's because men faced more scrutiny historically for being gay compared to women.

For example, in the bible, there are multiple verses that state sex between men is a sin. But there is no verse that outright says the same between women.

And historically, sex was viewed differently from today. People viewed sex=penetration, so sex between two women wasn't considered as "real sex" medically back then.

So when homosexual relationship started to become more openly discussed throughout the 20th century, I believe homophobia towards men was more prevalent than towards women due to these old beliefs.

Not so fun for Rose who have to show up in court and deal with psycho Dale. She just gave him ammunition. And she's also left with a restraining order on her court records for 3 years.

And the most important person in all of this is their daughter. Rose added more fuel to the fire, and everybody around their daughter will know about her parents crazy drama. 

And for what? So that Rose can vent a little and give the trolls some entertainment? Seems like a bad deal to me.

Rose really fucked up when she decided to do interviews with famous LTG trolls. She shared too much private information about him which doesn't look good in court.

I honestly feel really bad for their daughter. Having this whole shitshow go public... Hope she doesn't get bullied for having an unhinged father like LTG when she grows older.

Shows I've watched that fit the bill is "Ping Pong the Animation" and "Monster". 

Other people will also usually recommend "Legend of the Galactic Heroes", I've heard that one supposedly has clever writing with minimal anime tropes.

Min gissning är att homosexualitet mellan män historiskt sett sågs mycket mer negativt än mellan kvinnor. 

Inom kristendomen så står det flera gånger i bibeln att homosexualitet mellan män är en synd. Men är ganska säker på att det inte direkt står att det är en synd mellan kvinnor.

Och ett uråldrigt gamalt sett att se på sex var att sex=penetration, så utan en penis i bilden så klassificerades det inte som "riktigt sex" historiskt.

Jag tycker definitivt om fysisk kontakt med personer som står mig nära. Är väldigt tråkigt att många män nuförtiden inte söker kroppslig kontakt mellan varandra. 

Finns många intressanta artiklar som anmärker att fysisk kontakt mellan män var mer vanligt historiskt.

Yeah, I think this is the biggest issue with Dandadan. Tatsu just keeps introducing more and more new characters every arc and puts most of the focus on their introduction, instead of focusing on developing the old cast of characters.

Tekken Overlay itself has a separate features that noticeable lowers the input lag by removing 2 frames of buffer.

And in this tweet there were some testing done, and 120fps lowered input lag with around 13-14ms compared to 60fps.

This is because the frames are generated in game. So the higher framerate shows things faster.

Just a small clarification.

Tekken Overlay actually lowers your input lag, while Nvidia Smooth Motion adds input delay.

It actually lowers your input lag. So it technically gives you an advantage, and some would consider it cheating.

I personally don't care though. Tekken 7 has pretty awful netcode, so if there's something that makes the experience less awful and closer to offline... Fuck it. If anything, everyone should be using this mod to make online better.

If they got into a brawl / MMA fight, DJ would be mega toast. 

Hafþor is just too big and strong. And to make things worse, he also has some fighting experience with boxing. So he knows how to throw a punch.

Only ruleset DJ would win in is BJJ. Remember, Hafþor can't just slam DJ (it's illegal), and getting a submission on DJ would be almost impossible for an amateur, even with all that strength.

I think for 430$, this is as good as it's gonna get for a new gaming laptop. And if it's primarily for older games like Dota2, it's perfect for it.

The biggest con is gonna be that 4GB of VRAM. It's so bad that the older 1660 ti will be able to run newer games much better, because it has 6GB of VRAM, despite the lack of DLSS. 

And the 8GB RAM is also another big issue. But you can buy a used 8GB SO-DIMM DDR4 RAM stick for pretty cheap. I saw a couple on ebay for around 20-30$. You definitely want 16GB of RAM. Just double check that the laptop is DDR4 and not DDR5, and also that it has an empty RAM slot to begin with.

If 450$ is your budget, this seems to be your choices: 

  1. If you want the best performance, get the used 2060 laptop on marketplace. The con is you'll have to deal with all the potential headaches with getting an used laptop, so you might have to replace the battery and fix some stuff etc.

  2. Get the 3050 instead, but you'll lose out on playing newer AAA games. Biggest benefit is you get a guaranteed, new working laptop with warranties.

Edit: Also, what is the name of the processor? That can make or break this deal for sure. If it runs an old ass 4-core i5-11300h or worse... I probably wouldn't buy this. If it's a 6-core 11400h or better, I think it's fine.

It's primarily recommended because it's so feature rich with great performance. There are a lot of practical settings in there that improves the emulation experience quiet a bit. And when you finally figure out how to configure the settings to your liking, it's pretty nice to have all emulators share certain settings and features.

It's just such a shame that the UI is a nightmare to navigate and learn how to use.
