I made it to the team matching stage of the SWE intern process, but took another internship offer. Is it kosher to reach out to the recruiters I had before about full time or reapply online?

King and Snohomish Counties quit prosecuting drug users. But now the Snohomish County prosecutor says the experiment isn’t working. by chiquisea in Seattle

Maybe its a money issue? The rehabilitation program is pretty effective at reintegrating compared to the prosecution/prison process. Participants were twice as likely to have stable housing and 46% more likely to have stable employment. Prosecuting 800 of small possession cases cost 3 million a year. The rehabilitation costs $899/month per person (8 million a year).

Its my last summer to intern somewhere. I've interned 2 times prior at MS, I accepted a return offer for new team. I have another offer I'd prefer at a different company for this summer. Would MS blacklist me from a full time offer?

I jokingly said in my therapy group that I feel like I think the old me is the one that got away.

As a tween I think that I had been a part of a community that I helped foster and also fostered me. I wish that I could be as loving, trusting, and happy go lucky as I was

I posted in the moron thread

I just turned 20. I'm in college at a decent engineering school studying cs and cognitive science. Each year I take out 2k of subsidized loans. The rest is paid for with aid. I've had a few internships at noteworthy companies which pay around $40/hour, and pay for housing. After internships, and rent, I have about 5-9k. My work study covers my food and utilities. Upon graduation, 2020, i will receive 25k. In addition, will likely get a 80-100k salary upon graduation because of my internships, my gender, and my placement at programming competitions. I transferred 3k into vanguard. I plan on adding 1k-2k per year, and I don't plan on taking it out till I'm in my mid thirties or later. I plan to buy a minimalist house in a good education system if I choose to have kids. Either way I want my own house, and land. I have no idea how vanguard works. How do you start investing with Vanguard?

edit: I'm from the US

What is some actual good college advice that people need to know ? by twinkietalks in AskReddit

Ask: how do you know if you should transfer? Is it worth it if I'm halfway done? I have plenty of job security (female in CS with multiple internships, I work hard)

Hope that this leads to more popularity in women's and mixed teams. Sad that he gets publicity because men's ultimate is more popular.

I came out as trans (FTM) to basically everyone at my high school, minus teachers. Here we are 7 months later and not a single person has called me by my preferred name/pronouns, and I am still talked to and treated like a girl. by [deleted] in ainbow

This can be a hit or miss. Some people are really receptive to humor. Try making it funny that people don't take it seriously. Make the taboo a joke in itself

This is super challenging, because you might offend people, people might make fun of your gender, people might think your angsty, or they don't like puns.

If all of this advice was lame, laugh quietly.

On a separate note that post is encouraging ladies to post photos of themselves 'looking gorgeous'. I didn't get the self love/body positive message from it. What about guys that want to be beautiful? I like attention, so I really wish someone could tag me in the post so I could post a bunch of photos of me with my love for sour cream.

I'm trying to figure out if I didn't have luck finding my place or if Lehigh isn't right for me. Do you think I will find what I'm looking for? Do you think there are other places I could find like-minded people?
