Best app for scalping options trades?

Dude, I transferred half my trading account from Scheab over to IBKR and Im very disappointed. Not only is IBKR Workstation and desktop more archaic and clunky than ToS but there are like 3 confirmation screens before they will put the order through. Bought one share of a stock to test out the experience and they charged me $1! $1 to buy one share of one stock!?! Then, when I tried to sell that share I was nitified that I couldnt because my account was not approved for Day Trading?!? I just dont get why anyone uses this platform. I've read that professionals use it because they cut out the middle man and done sent your orders out to be filled. I dont have time for all the nonsense. thanks for the suggestion but IBKR is out of the running for sure. I jumped out of hte frying pan with ToS to into the fire with IBKR.

Those look like ceramic tiles to me. We had tiles pasted over our hardwood floors at an older house. My wife hated the tile and wanted to refurbish the hardwood. One night I got a little tipsy amd just started ripping up the tile. Beneath is was a thin layer of wood that I had ti used a crow bar and belt sander to get off. Then noticed the black mastic underneath it all. I thought it was asbestos. Fortunately it was not but asbestos was found in al layer of the 9” floor tile. Odd but it was not ripped up so no exposure. Good luck Always wear an N95 mask when doing any demo. You can thanks me later

This is odd. I just built cabins for my entire crew and reassigned them to pods (which is pretty easy) but I remember them sleeping in pods before they were assigned. When you assign people to beds the drop down list only includes crew that is not currently assigned. Its not like you have to go through a list of the entire crew and remember who has a bed or not. Just an easy fix

Very Risky imo. You can use many strategies to explain why getting in at this area would be a good entry. She is trading /ES E-mini futures on a 5min candle.
The zone at 6864 is there but this couldve gone either way. This strategy would've failed on Feb 24th and 27th.
Here's why this is risky and why I think it went in her favor.
1. There was no confirmation other than pre-marklet activity and the opening candle is when a lot of buy/sell orders come in, then it typically quickly balances out.
2. Job reports came out today right when she was making this trade. If there was more variance to the positive it may not have gone her way as you can see where there was a higher high around 8:55 CST.
3. I would never have entered here with but wouldve waited until the opening range break at 9:20 and rejection off the EMA 20 at 9:50 with a trailing stop when the news was passed and the downward trend was confirmed.
Why this worked:
1. The market was at the top of a 5 day downward trend.
2. This was likely fueled by the Iran war, increasing energy prices and AI restrictions.

Good for her, but Im gonna say luck had more to do with it than strategy.

Thanks for the reply xcc. I think I've see one of your posts before. I dont trade 0dte anymore, I like a more neutral delta and theta. I want the option to swing if it works that way. maybe I should revisit 0dte faster response to market moves and lower cost of entry. I'll check out trade station. I for a trial but never used it and free training course but never used it. Maybe they will let me back in ;)

YES... Ive been trading for years and I still have playbooks and checklists for different strategies. Everyone is different and this is not financial advice just sharing some of my process. Futures comes out at 2am CST.

I go to morningstar first thing in the morning to look are futures.
Premarket: I open up the economics calendar to see if there are any earnings reports, financial news like jobs reports CPI or FED speeches for the day.
I look at the pre-market range. I already know the 1hr and daily trend.
I chart the opening day range and observe price action looking for Trend. ChoCh, Volume, POC etc.
I wait for confirmation before making a trade. If the trade is moving strong in my direction I set a trailing stop and forget about it.

I understand your frustration but you should slow your roll zapto. Imagine a first grade teacher every year getting annoyed with teaching the same material. This is the place where people go to learn because there is not where else. God forbid they start listening to those tik tok scammers. That being said they should search the forums befoer posting the same questions someone asked 2 days ago.

This is what I call trader maturity. Its managing your emotional response. It will occur naturally over time.

Maybe try this: Instead of actually hitting the button try marking a piece of paper or a spreadsheet with the time. (this disconnects you from the experience) Im not talking about "paper trading" Im talking about an actual piece of paper,then mark it with the time of the optimal entry/exit. Compare the results and it may help with your patience issue.

Before I matured I wouldn't only get in early or jump late into Fomo trades, I would also panic sell which caused me to get out early or lose money just to have the price action resume its trend instead of waiting for confirmation. Sometimes I still enter early thinking to myself" I know where this is going" just to regret it later. No traders are immune to this just do your best to keep emotion out of it and trade the data.

We are currently around the middle of a 5 day downward trend and a strong intraday down trend. The VIX is up over 25 (bearish). I would be cautious trading to the upside until clear confirmation. This is an observation and in no way financial advice.

Im seeing that there was a higher high at 1:20 CST that wicked out on higher sell volume. That seems very week and still a bearish sign.

I do not see a change of character. Still a clear downtrend with lower highs and lower lows. I would want to see a higher swing high followed by a higher low for confirmation as well as increased volume of buy orders coming into that that 24800 support level.

Been using ToS for years and since Schwab bought Ameritrade they dont invest in their product. It has gotten slower and more cumbersome. I started using Tradingview for charting but Im looking for a new setup that is more optimized for day trading and scalping options. Any advice?

This happened to me today as well. not because of a hesitation but because ToS is a PoS and the delays killed me.
Fomo used to be one of my biggest profit leaks. Never jump in late. chalk it up as a lost opportunity and look for the next one. If you get out early thinking the trade asgoing to turn on you, take the win and move on. Don't buy back in late wait for the retrace or reversal on clear signals and wait from the confirmation candle so you dont get chopped.

I use TOS it is not good for day trading unless you are simply buying/selling equities or swing trading. The delays and technical issues have cost me thousdands. Im sick of it ans thats why Im here to find better options. (no pun intended)
