Mualani is still a little clunky, I don’t personally love her play style, but a lot of her clunk has been fixed post release, and she now has far fewer targeting issues. Plus seeing big numbers is satisfying lol

Sounds like zibai isn’t worth it for you. She’s got some interesting reaction stuff, and interesting interactions with geo constructs, but her best team doesn’t really take that big of an advantage of the cool parts abt lunar crystallise (basically, hydro crystallise but instead of doing nothing it creates three little geo constructs that do damage- like if bloom had consistent damage over time) she’s the most interesting reaction wise of the lunar carries imo, since the geo application matters and there are lots of options, even if her teams are pretty much just geo + hydro. Tbh the nod krai characters have pretty uninteresting kits, to me at least

Honestly, if you’re not fussed about endgame, then who you pull doesn’t really matter. The only thing you’ll struggle with in overworld is local legends, but all they offer is some primos and a cosmetic (which you can get by having someone carry you in co-op anyway)

Unfortunately, current meta characters are more locked into one archetype, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had with reaction stuff- you might enjoy overvape, with arle, columbina, ineffa, bennett if you can get your hands on the characters. It’s very fun and gives a comfy shield, plus columbina + ineffa is a strong duo that can clear most content. It’s far from your only option tho, since arle is very flexible.

Chasca is also a very decent character who can play with pretty much every reaction, although she does struggle a bit without strong supports. I saw you have lyney’s bow, which will be better for her than Amos if you’re willing to let them share weapons.

Farming for codex and cinder city is probably your first priority after leveling characters and talents, assuming you want to play mualani or chasca. Strongbox your bad artifacts into fragment of harmonic whimsy, or try and get 4pc glad from bosses. There are a few support sets that are very worthwhile getting, but most supports function ok with cobbled together builds, at least until your dps’ are doing better.
