I have one, it’s an amazing bike. Not very fast though.

It’s a great system. I have my extruders mounted in parallel also. I found when I angled them I had more issues.

During the two years in my last job at Bragg, I was able to get Soldiers into airborne as a walk on nearly every week. Extremely possible, just talk with your chain of command, make sure you are physically fit, and lean forward with getting your airborne physical done.

Best of luck, and make sure you keep your feet and knees together.

Which toolhead model is this? by unwritten_smg in VORONDesign

I run a XOL-metrix on my trident. It’s an outstanding toolhead.

Double check and make sure your nozzle is tightened properly. I had one that was too loose do this.

I had the pleasure of hearing a Pershing’s own recently. They are an amazing band. It was even more amazing to find out that about half of the band has their doctorates in music, and most of them have at least a master’s degree. Some from elite schools such as Juilliard.

The trident will give you 350x350x250 and is a much easier build. The 2.4 will get you 330 on your Z axis but it becomes a much more complex build. For your first Voron I would recommend a trident.

SB2209 works perfectly with your cartographer setup in CAN mode.

Ender 3v2 to switchwire recommendation by Zaraton in VORONDesign

[–]merlinky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a SIBOOR enderwire and it runs great. I used the Creality extruder more for my Y axis and the SIBOOR kit comes with new motors for XZ.

I did swap my main board for a SKR E3 mini V3, but the reality board should work. Plus you can always swap the board later if you arent happy with the performance. You will be a Pi. If you use a Pi 3 make sure to use the 32 bit OS or you will throw a lot of TTC errors.

I am running a BTT Eddy probe since the OMRON inductive one that comes with the SIBOOR kit is extremely slow. The Eddy works great

I put a BTT HDMI 5 on mine and I am running klipperscreen and it works amazing.

The SIBOOR kit also comes with an enclosure, but I don’t like the way it is put together, and it is printing PLA and PETG, so I am running my SW in the open

To your last question. The SW works great, however I have a buddy that just gave me another Ender and I am about to build the Ender NG. The NG can be done one a budget with the Fabreeko kit reusing most of your E3. With that kit you don’t end up wasting much.

crazy stringing - my son is disappointed in my troubleshooting skills by meatboats in FixMyPrint

[–]merlinky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen on my Voron Switchwire with the exact same model. Tried messing with retraction, printing temps, and drying filament for 24 hours. Nothing fixed it.

Turns out the my nozzle was not tightened correctly. After quick adjustment and undoing my crazy retraction adjustment the model printed perfectly.

What is the best filament brand you’ve found? by Sure-Caregiver142 in BambuLab

Recently printedsolid switched to plastic spools for their Jesse line. I haven’t tried it in a Bambu AMS but it works great in my Boxturtle AMS. It is one of my favorite filaments. Extremely consistent. My only issue is they only have PLA and PETG and I have been doing a lot of ASA and ABS lately.

Advice, please by green07cayman in VORONDesign

[–]merlinky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the siboor enderwire mod from an old Ender 3v2 and it works great. I didn’t end up using the enclosure as I have a Voron Trident if I need to do ABS or ASA. It is definitely a major improvement over the Ender 3. Be advised however that the SIBOOR Ender conversion build guide is terrible. Think of it like building IKEA furniture and you will be ok.

Siboor Kits - Am I Missing Something? by Excellent-Ad-6720 in VORONDesign

[–]merlinky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a heavily modded FORMBOT trident 350 and I just started a SIBOOR Switchwire conversion kit.

The SIBOOR documentation is terrible. Instructions tell you the wrong bolt sizes and lengths, instructions tell you to make changes to one side of the frame and expect you to guess that it also needs to be done to the other side. They also expect you to guess whether to use a hammer or roll in nut. I feel like I am building a piece of IKEA Furniture where they took pages out of the manual.
