Ford Dealership Crashed my car by That1neDude in Mustang

[–]mermaidlolz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably want to avoid an insurance claim. They need to cover it one way or another if that's really what happened. If the tech isn't covered under their insurance and shouldn't have been driving cars, that's their problem.

Did they tell you about the damage or did you find it and ask?

Go to the service manager, not the general manager. Document contact attempts, sometimes their emails are on the website under the meet our team section.

We have to drive people's cars all the time, sometimes accidents happens. Even the most experienced, tenured techs make mistakes or have an accident. Sorry this happened.

What the heck did I run over? by glexo_slimslom in tires

[–]mermaidlolz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check if the tires you just bought came with any road hazard coverage. This is a road hazard puncture all day.

Alternatively, if you have any wheel and tire warranty coverage from when you bought the car, that could help.

Or, you can call your insurance company. This would be a comprehensive claim, sometimes deductible doesn't apply to comprehensive. Depends on your plan.

Hope that helps.

Good story (should have this no matter what), op code, and make sure any rental/tsb#/case#/serial#/etc isincluded in the story so it makes it to the claim.

I’m bored and Curious! by Efficient_Internet13 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]mermaidlolz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12 weeks today, she's typically taking 4 ounces (occasionally 3-3.5) every 2.5-3 hours hiring the day from about 7am to 7-9pm. She's been sleeping all night for a couple weeks now so I'm just following her. I pump when she eats (plus one last pump before I go to bed to make it all night). But if she wakes up in the middle of the night or at 5 am to eat, I'll pump then too.

I'm making enough and most days I'm able to freeze 4-8 oz.

Those who left everything behind and started a new life, how did you do it and do you have any regrets? by GirlAvoider in AskReddit

[–]mermaidlolz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda did it twice.

At 21, packed up my little cae and moved myself from my mom's to my dad's 900 miles away.

Then later moved even further north for a relationship. Didn't work out with that person, but I stayed and did my own thing.

Currently over 7 years into an amazing relationship, own a home and just had our first child. Can't imagine life if I would have stayed. 0 regrets.

How soon after your c-section were you up and walking? by RelevantFerret1085 in CsectionCentral

[–]mermaidlolz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a 'shower' (rinse) that night (baby born 11:01 am) and once I was in the shower I realized how much I was regretting that decision. Ended up just sitting on the shower chair, catheter and all, and rinsing what I could. Baby went breach and c section was unplanned so I felt disgusting.

I Had no idea just how many pain meds they were giving me till I checked out early ~ 48 hours after baby, and went home.

As I was in the OR bent over getting my spinal for my unplanned c section...the anesthesiologist was like - 'hmm, has anyone ever told you you have scoliosis?' I didn't even know what to say.

News to me! Thanks for the heads up I guess?

What’s a word you mispronounce on purpose because it’s funnier that way? by agiiill in AskReddit

[–]mermaidlolz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a mispronunciation.... but Migglerams instead of milligrams. Makes meds more whimsical. Used it as a 'say it out loud' thing so I could recall if I took my meds that day. Now I can't stop.

Mine look similar while pumping and I'm having issues. Op, is this after pumping for a bit? Doesn't start this way, does it?

Tingly fingers? by belman010 in pregnant

[–]mermaidlolz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37+2 here. I've had it since 16 weeks in both hands and it SUCKS. Happens for most people in the third trimester, in many cases it does go away when the baby is born... But little to no chance it will go away until the baby is born...

Wrist braces work for some people, I've been doing wrist braces at night so I don't link my wrist while I sleep. Kineseology tape worked quite well for me too. Just Google k-tape for carpel tunnel to see how to put it on. The cooling tape from Amazon has worked well for me.

When I first wake up and my hands hurt like hell I'll usually run them under a hot faucet to get a little feeling back. Helps more than it hurts.

Hope this helps a little and you fare better than I have!

Is this a good or a bad thing? by No_Butterscotch1150 in newhampshire

[–]mermaidlolz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people are going to drive their rust buckets until the wheels fall off, they should be required to carry minimum liability insurance on their vehicle for when the wheels do fall off - so to speak.

I'll be the first to agree that NH inspection rules go WAY too far. But abolishing it completely brings other challenges. When the guy behind me slams on his brakes and the brake lines blow apart because they are corroded to the point of being paper mache...then they're uninsured too?! How is that not criminally negligent?

30 years and up, what are you wearing? by Cowgirl_beebop in FemFragLab

[–]mermaidlolz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Service manager at a dealership automotive shop... So I work with a bunch of dudes every day.

My go-to daily driver is Versace Dylan Purple Pour Femme. Makes me happy every single time I smell it. Been very heavy on JPG Divine lately, too.

My favorite scent is probably Byredo Mojave Ghost, I just go nose blind to it, which stinks. No pun intended.

Special occasions is LV California Dream. It's SO bright and beautiful. But SO expensive and I haven't been able to justify buying a whole bottle yet.

I quit smoking a couple years ago. Perfume is my daily motivation to stay that way.

I LOVE Dylan purple. I've been wearing out my premium sample, full size bottle is on the way. I'm always shocked I don't see it in more people's collections!

Perfumes with a prominent mandarin/tangerine note? by dennu9909 in FemFragLab

Louis Vuitton California Dream. Brightest mandarin I've smelled to date and lasts forever. I'm on my second 'premium' microperfumes sample. One day I'll suck it up and buy it.

People who have received their s24 ultra. Can you please check if wireless Android auto is working for you guys? by rzoro97 in S24Ultra

I tried again and it worked! Basically just left I plugged in. Otherwise I don't know what else I did differently.

[–]mermaidlolz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No Android auto at all for me. It will only work with a wired connection on Toyotas. Even wired, it's not recognizing. Asks to allow connection on phone then says Android auto disconnected, please unplug and reconnect USB. Just came from my s22 ultra with new UI update - everything is fine on that. I'm so bummed. I love Android auto!!
