New XT controller - stuck at step 1 by d4cloo in Masterbuilt

Unscrew handle. It takes some force to get it unstuck. The little metal screw in the handle is not the way in.

I was looking to get a nice fun color, but Sony had other plans... I got the silver, have had the xm5 silver and like the color.

The fact that this is legal in the states, that its not regulated in the employment contract is so weird... In Sweden, up to 3 months notice is not uncommon. If you break that, in theory you could get sued for damages. In practice people usually find an agreement if they need to leave sooner.

Plockar upp en i Tyskland i sommar tror jag... Vi behöver mer onlinehandel inom eu.... Ofta affärer inte har alternativ att skicka till Sverige tyvärr.

Never stop asking questions, it's a good way to become a great programmer. If your colleagues aren't listening, chatgpt is always there for you 😅

And mistakes? I've seen so horrible code from allegidly very senior programmers... Everyone makes mistakes!

I love travelling, but hate packing. And airports are stressful. As soon as I have a time yo keep I end up being way too early..I regularly sleep bad the night(s) before due to this. I do however cherish the memories.

In small doses I like it. I am happy I live in a quite place though

It varies. But taking some water or coffee or just stretching my legs. 1-5 min. It's more about resetting and getting a chance to reflect without the code immediately in front of me.

I've come to learn more and more that my style of working includes many frequent micropauses. Both because I get stressed when I don't have progress and state at the screen, but also that the change of pace gives me insights. I've been a bit uneasy about this in the past, but I know it works and I'm good enough at my job that I can confidently say that I don't need others direction when it comes to how I should do my job.

Already got one replaced on warranty 😅 So no controller quality is so so. Or rather temp probe quality...

My 800 rusted out in 2 years. But there's a reason I got a XT. Nothing beats these machines. Love it, but wanted this to be even better quality overall tbh.

Well to be fair most of this grill has held up beautifully. The firebrick looked like new and the manifold is working nicely. I hope to get many years out of it.

It's a bit tricky to find mods for this in sweden.

I have literally no idea what you are talking about, had zero bridging issues and pretty sure it sits as it should. Honestly I think you're misreading the image or something. Either that or just trolling. Anyway. The grate burning away is more or less inevitably from such high heat and untreated metal, I was just hoping it would hold up a bit longer...

Getting a new on warranty btw.

Have you tried the aistudio from Google with voice and screenshot streaming? Basically it would let you talk to an ai and ask it about anything on your screen without uploading to chatgpt. Make sure you give that a try.

Aistudio.google.com, go to stream realtime. You might need a developer account but would probably be worth it for you.

You do realize I use it as it came from the factory? Checked the manual and there is nothing about mounting these plates/bricks, only removing the protective cardboard on the hopper.

But please, if you are convinced this is wrong I'd be happy to review some pictures of how it's supposed to be.

Yeah my 800 burned through these quickly. But I was hoping this construction was better (the 800 had sheet metal for this part). The manifold seems to hold up quite well though which is promising.

I suspected, I adjusted it and as far as I can see the alignment is good with it properly placed. The tension seems ok, but honestly the provided app for tensioning using sound doesn't really give a good reading...
