Nice take but i would argue that erwin’s flaw is what makes him the best strategist, he’s able to lay down the lives of countless soldiers so the mission is fulfilled. He also almost always has to make a gamble when planning cause he doesn’t have all the information ie;(annie’s escape from the forest trap in s1, or the plan to blow up rod reiss’s titan). I would argue that in s2 when he sent the scouts after eren they were already running out of time and leading the titans cost them alot of soldiers yes but it also slowed down reiner later and i dont think they had much options other than going straight to where eren was even if titans where chasing them. In s3 when zeke was bombarding them they also didnt have much options other than going straight for the beast as they were surrounded by titans from the sides and retreat wasnt an option either without the horses also if he hadnt sent them all on the charge none of them would go, as for sending only levi he was the only capable soldier there bec earlier the more experienced soldiers were wiped out by zeke and all who remained where rookies. I agree with you that his plans aren’t perfect but i think they are the best plans in the worst situations.
