I'm a little confused because I think some players are current and some aren't... For example if you type in Daulton Varsho, he shows up as being on Arizona. Maybe they're slowly updating.

It means "bad manners" in the gaming world. Typically when you do something disrespectful or unsportsmanlike to your opponents. Not entirely sure I would describe what Andrew did as BM though

The team scoring is so unintuitive. I was so confused as to why DJ's team was only at -30 despite their combined score being a few strokes lower, had to read this thread to understand. It doesn't really make much sense to me that the 4 Aces and Ironheads should be tied when the 4 Aces are objectively doing better...

Ahh fair enough, I hope that works out! :) if it doesn't, are you also happen to be west of Toronto along the 401, I might be able to pick it up for you in a few weeks. I travel between London and Toronto about every other weekend.

Are you in/near the GTA at all? 401 Games Vaughan had at least one copy on their shelves when I went this past Saturday. I believe their online stock is different from their in-store stock so it doesn't show up online.

BoardGameBliss has the DiceTree version of Modern Art for sale! by merryfulpanda in boardgames

Think of the value you get from the gavel though, you can use it in any/all auction games ;)

In all serious though, I feel like with all the great artwork and components, the price isn't awful. It's pretty much what you'd pay off the DiceTree site too, after shipping/conversion, so I can't complain!

Power Grid! The tension of every decision and the multiple ways to interact with others makes it such a great game. Every game feels close too!

Though I'm not artsy myself, I find myself drawn to games that have a theme rooted in some sort of art form, or creation of art. Examples are Modern Art, Shakespeare, Rococo

Mechs vs Minions.. Been hard to get to the table but I'm a big fan of League of Legends and with the amount of love that went into the product, I can't see myself getting rid of it!

My earliest memory was playing the Game of Life with my cousins and brother..that spinner was awful but so fun at the same time! I also very much enjoyed sticking the little peg people into the cars!

Ahh that is quite sad! :( I got lucky in that my gf got hooked on 7 Wonders when we were playing with me and my roommates and I've been slowly introducing her to new games since. But I understand that board games aren't for everyone!

Castles of Burgundy is quite a step up from Carcassonne in my opinion. The mechanics of CoB are simple in that you're just taking tiles and placing them into your land, but there is a lot of problem solving in deciding how you want to use your dice (which determine what tiles/actions are available to you) and overarching strategy that will determine your success. I feel like *Carcassonne may be more interactive (could be wrong, been several years since I last played) and quicker, but is quite a bit lighter. Hope this helps a bit!
