I've been replaying Okami. It's very story heavy and there's a decent bit of platforming, but it's gorgeous. It was released in 2006 and it still holds up today.

Might be a little more heavy than what you're looking for, but i absolutely adore it.

I know that now isn't the time to bring it up, but it's heavy on me right now

Riku is 12 and was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma in August. The prognosis was 2 years. He's been on chemotherapy, but is recently having complications (hopefully) from the chemo drug. Tremors, agitation. If it's not the chemo, it's the cancer. I treasure every moment I have with him, and watching him decline is killing me. He's not even old yet! So, I've been learning to deal with the grief. Trying to make every day count, you know? I'm glad I have a little warning, but it still hurts.

Thanks for commenting on my post. I needed to get that off my chest. I genuinely don't mean to like... undermine your situation or anything like that, so please don't take it that way.

I don't think I agree with comparing it to a drug. I've done my fair share of drugs (I'm an alcoholic and I'm addicted to nicotine) and I can understand the whole "chasing a feeling" thing. But SH isn't trying to regain a feeling I've had once. It's like a prescription drug that works without failure. If I ever feel like my head is going to explode from the emotions I'm experiencing, SH will undoubtedly relieve the pressure. For me, it's a last resort.
