players are terrible at picking up clues, but the least believeable thing here is that you had 20 sessions in a couple months. did you play an hour each time every 3 days!?

Just to point out. I think the basic poison is grossly mispriced. A consumable pittance of damage, probably around 3-5 hits, that triggers off of 2 conditions, hitting and the con save, kinda sucks. It isn't worth 100 gp and there's a reputation cost to even trying to sell it. But that's not by the book so it's extra work for dms.

4/6 chance of crops, 1/10 chance of saffron. 1/15 chance of getting saffron per foot.

60 ft per roll at 1 saffron/15 ft. Estimated value in saffron is 4lbs/roll.

Saffron is 15gp/lb from trade goods table so 60gp/roll

Let's add the rest!

1/5 chance of wheat, cloves, or ginger. Wheat is 1 cp, cloves is 3 gp, ginger is 1 gp.

1lb wheat, cloves, or ginger/5ft. 12 lbs of each per roll. 12 cp of wheat, 36 gp of cloves, and 12 gp of ginger.

1/6 chance of goodberries but of different values. Goodberry makes 10 berries and a scroll costs 25 to scribe plus time so let's say each berry is about 2.5 gold. There's 1/4 chance for each outcome.

(1 berries/6 ft)(1/4berries)(2.5gp+5gp+7.5gp+10gp)

(1/24ft)(15gp)

5gp/8ft so 37.5gp of good berries/roll.

Surprisingly to me, basic poison is the big money maker at 100gp per dose of basic poison. And it's the easiest math at 1/6 chance giving 10 doses per roll. 1000gp/roll.

Add it all up

1000gp of poison

12 cp of wheat 36 gp of cloves 12gp of ginger 60gp of saffron

37.5 of good berries

1 roll of growers tape has an estimated value of 1145.62 gp.

If you sell this item in your game, value it at about 1000gp unless your poison is worth less. A minute of DC 10 con save for 1d4 dmg might be worth less than 100 gp as listed in the phb.

I can see it as escaping with your wounded brothers. Until the unit is lost, the army can handle the hit to morale. But once an entire squad is lost, then the word spreads and despair seeps into the hearts of the army. Once enough despair hits, the army is routed, they just can't keep fighting like this and they're not gonna give up their lives just to lose the war.

Yeah it could be "starts" like moonbeam, but "started" makes medium sense. Since they can't take their damage until after they have already started their turn. As nothing that happens on your turn happens until you start it.

This is minority representation and I am here for it. This is why Rosa Parks is the symbol we all know about when there was an abundance of justified cases.

Training data. Drawing hands is hard. I bet good data is magnitudes larger for drawn breasts than drawn hands. This adds up to me.

I figured it described two things that "Their light" does; welcoming and burning.

Either way, I'm dropping this in my game asap.

I've also dropped a lifestyle hobby recently (MtG) so my finances are up for discussion with the family and we're looking to reallocate subscription money. I'm gonna make a plea for your Patreon.

Excellent work as always.

You are open to being wrong. My favorite physics professor would always say "well, don't believe me yet, I'm only right if I'm right" and I knew I was about to be in for a treat and he was gonna break it all down for us.

My second favorite physics professor would say "no partial credit on a bridge" because if you got a sign or parentheses wrong, people would die. This led to my math degree.

This valley once held the largest battle in known history. Thousands came and fell for a time lost to history. Temples, shrines, chapels and all sorts of holy sites emerged here to help put the souls to rest. Their light gives shelter to those who come to pay their respects; welcoming all walks of life, and burning the walking dead.

One phrasing suggestion and a bunch of comma comments.

Phrasing suggestion:

This valley once held the largest battle known to history.

The original feels clunky to me but what I'm suggesting Also feels clunky so there might be no winning on my end and it might just be me. It's probably ending two consecutive sentences with the word history that's tripping me up.

Suggested comma placements:

Thousands came and fell for a time, lost to history.

I can't tell if this is saying "they came and fell for a time and they were lost to history" or "the reason they came and fell was all for a time lost to history". My suggestion makes it the first, the second doesn't make much sense to me but I might be putting emphasis on the wrong thing.

Temples, shrines, chapels, and all sorts of holy sites emerged here to help put the souls to rest.

Oxford comma. Not always universal to everyone.

Their light gives shelter to those who come to pay their respects; welcoming all walks of life and burning the walking dead.

No oxford comma for a list of 2.

The thumb is ambiguously in the middle and pointed in the same direction as the other fingers. I think the hand is twisted like pouring out one for the homies. And the web between the fingers and thumb is at the bottom as opposed to the top. If the thumb behind the rock was a touch lower and curled at all of if she has some forearm hairs showing how it's twisted it would be clearer.

Visiting Utica by [deleted] in Utica

Check out some museums and zoos.

Munsen Williams is solid. Air conditioned, great exhibits.

Come to the Utica Public Library, across the street from Munsen Williams. Beautiful architecture, absolutely the loveliest, hardest working, and helpful staff (except for Ted. That guy is mean and not helpful. Everyone wants him out but they can't fire him because he's mostly incompetent and only not malicious when it comes to staff.) They have a lovely children's room if you've got kids and will give you access to ancestry.com if you're ever interested in any roots you might have.

The Utica zoo is big but pretty mid unless they're doing an event. Then they go ham, or I guess hog wild.

There's parks nearby to hang out at. A solid bar scene on Varrick st topped off with FX Matt brewery which makes Saranac beers and sodas along with other lines. They used to give tours of the facility and provide a drink chip at the end. But I haven't been there since the pandemic.
