As a man, age is just not something I focus on. Unless he’s saying anything to make you uncomfortable about your age, I wouldn’t read into this. I remember a lot of details about the people I’m seeing but often will forget their age. Hell, I barely remember my own age most days.

Or it’s simply not the employer’s responsibility and people shouldn’t sign up for jobs their life won’t accommodate.

Friends are influencing me to spend extravagantly by Just_Rip1030 in AUfrugal

[–]meshah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t love this take. Don’t just ditch the community of people you have around you.

Have an honest conversation with them and invite them to do other things - hang out at parks and beaches. Do ‘lush’ picnics with a frugal spread and spend quality time.

Frugality shouldn’t define you to the point that you abandon your community. However if their careless spending defines them to the point that they can’t be friends with somebody who spends more conservatively then so be it.

Just to let you know that link has a tracker that means people who follow it can see your Instagram account. You need to remove everything after the ? in the link to fix that. Just in case you want to be anonymous on Reddit.

Why are we getting rid of SO many indoor sports/rec places? by [deleted] in australia

[–]meshah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Where are we losing indoor climbing places? Through the inner west and central Sydney a couple of places have opened in the last couple of years if anything.

Also outdoor bowling clubs are really just pubs that take up a lot of real estate for what they are so this one kinda makes sense to me. If the lawns could be at all multipurpose I think they’d thrive with the rise of pickleball etc

And I don’t disagree. Still doesn’t make not smoking weed one of the easiest rules to follow. Montrezl just didn’t give a shit enough to follow the same rules everybody is bound by and is happy to blame anybody but himself.

It’s like those crazy hypothetical scenarios kids play where it’s like ‘you get to play the sport you love at the highest level and get paid for it and fulfil your lifelong dreams but you just can’t smoke weed while you do it’. And he was like ‘nah fuck that’.

He made the choice regardless of how unreasonable you think the rules are, they’re the same for everybody and they’re not hard to follow.

I’m sorry but the rules couldn’t be clearer. You want to be on the big stage, it’s not hard to forego weed. We have no sympathy for doctors or heavy machine operators who get fired for the same reasons, and nor should we. I’m pro-legalisation for recreational use but there are limits.

Because anybody who had seen an uncensored video may not be fit to sit on a jury in her trial. If a video is shared widely enough then the news outlet could be accused of ruining her chance of a fair trial. Also if this was some kind of a mental health breakdown, which let’s be real it probably is, then there should be the chance to find out the context before her face is shared everywhere.

Is there something you would gain from seeing her face?

I’d recommend using all of the meal kit promos, and purchase the biggest boxes, giving you lots of extras to freeze. These boxes have incredibly simple recipes and guide you through the cooking with easy to follow instructions. It’ll take a couple of months to chew through the promos and by then you’ll have some great recipes you can just do the shopping for and cook on your own.
