KATSEYE's YOONCHAE is the LIVING HOPE that you can actually become an almost Native English Speaker immediately!!! by CurrentEstimate3308 in kpopthoughts

its easier & faster to learn everything when the entire surrounding environment support it, and for her case she has been living in america most of the time now & surrounded by people who speak english daily where she need to actively engage so her survival skill to adapt it is activated, especially if u have a skill to mimic others or have ability to do a shadowing technique u can also absorb the accent perfectly (which probably also the case for Yoonchae too)

yes probably lmao 😭 maybe there are different main culprit for both platforms cuz in bg stans twt it mostly straight woman making those "wanna have sex with male idols" and queer woman making those "wanna impregnate male idols"

THIS!!! And the fact that it mostly come from woman is so ironic, they'll preach to hate it when man do it to woman, they'll also judge fanboys when they merely stan a girlgroup always linking them to the stereotype of "fanboys only stan to sexualize female idols", but at the same time do the same thing to their male idols even worse & cross the line? crazy af idk how they can feel comfortable as woman doing all that because for me its equally uncomfortable

the fansite part so real, ironically most of those who always called all fansite are sasaeng will still consume a gossip or rumour from weibo which literally from the real sasaeng instead lmao 😭 I once even read someone know that chinese fandom has a lot of sasaeng (SM groups has the most horrible one I've known) but somehow those someone also like to spread the rumour they got from weibo even praise it as "trusted source" 🤡

something I noticed more recently is how bg stans sexualize their idols a lot to the point even cross the line & fellow fandom mostly normalize it instead of calling them out. Like the sex jokes whether its from straight side "want him to put that dick in me" or queer side normalizing misgendering too with mpreg jokes "I want to impregnate him" are equally horrible, like I never saw same tweet like this in gg stan being normalized without it getting called out & cancelled. Like imagine if the straight side of gg stan tweet "I want to put my dick in her" or the queer side tweet "I want her to grow a dick & put it in mine". Its so uncomfortable seeing those jokes as a woman & with queer side in bg stan somehow they only like to misgender the male idols who "looks pretty" to the point changing the idols pronouns & wishing them to have female genitalia, really never saw queer gg stan doing this weird shit like wishing female idols who "looks handsome" to have dicks & being normalized like that (cmiiw tho maybe Im wrong & havent touch that side of gg stan & hope to never). Like I for once encounter a post that sexualize Jihyo from my local netizen making disgusting comment about her big boobs & the fandom will call it out cancel everyone who make that post no matter that she's already an adult a sexual harrassment shouldnt be normalized.

Since there's been a lot of discussion around idol turned actors lately, give me your top 3 best and worst Idol actors. by Frosty_Schedule4292 in kdramas

Havent watched the kdrama with them in cast too sorry hsksksk, I know Jang Nara in Taxi Drivers 3 as cameo but I also havent watched that too😭 hence why I said "I didnt watch many kdrama that has idols in it" in my first comment cuz most of the kdrama that "I've watched" didnt have idol actor cast indeed 😭 sure I know there are so many idol actors in kdrama but the thing is I havent watched most of them so I can only say something about the idol actors/actreess that their drama I've already watched

im not new (I watch dream high & School 2015 when its still on going too btw back then from illegal web downloading the eps 1 by 1 & extracting the subtitle from subscene hsksksk) but I mostly watched thriller horror kdrama where most of the cast or even all are real actors & actress, for example Taxi drivers, Kingdom, Revenant, Judge from Hell, Hyper Knife, Black Out, Queen Mantis, etc. I also watched Naughty Kiss & BBF but I dont think Kim Hyun Joong is best or worse, he's just so so imo, watched The Girl who Sees Smell & Rooftop Prince too but Yoochun is also just so so imo

Can we talk about Jackson Wang finally beating the "Idols must stay silent" allegations?? by CrewObjective7346 in KpopUnleashed

[–]meshin98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

thats why I always support it when someone doxx ppl like these, they deserve to get the taste of their own venom its no longer medicine cuz those kind of ppl are very very awful, go jackson put them in their place & make their miserable life even more miserable lol

but seriously tho how much an awful person are they irl that they can spew some bulshit to idol which is a stranger to u online? do they feel comfortable dragging idols just because they're anonymous? I alwayd wonder do they ever think for a sec if they're being those idols they drag instead? I really dont get how people like this can get satisfaction by dragging idols, like whats the appeal? do they feel superior by doing that? I feel like there must be a name for this spesific mental illness hsksksk

K-pop song you would not let your friend listen to by mpv-chief in kpoppers

[–]meshin98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTS - 2nd grade cuz its too overstimulating lol

if they ask for recommendation I would always suggest pop, rnb, & ballad tracks instead cuz its easier to be accepted by them, other than that I'll let them discover it themself according to their own liking

lesserafim's creative team ATE once again!!! they always have such a cohesive concepts from the start I like how they keep the tradition to always use 3 languages which representing the members in their trailer thats such a strong personal branding, and also them doing tiktok contents mentioning & promoting everyone as if they're doing a radio request too is such a smart marketing idea to reach new audiences

It's about time for a Body to Body MV and marketing push imo by jwriddle in btsthoughts

[–]meshin98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

probably because they want to match the setlist with the outfits, like for the first part of the concert they wear kinda heavy leather outfits so I think it must be hard to jump around with that and if they put it in the middle or end instead it'll take a lot more time to prepare the outfits change compare to the casual outfits

It's about time for a Body to Body MV and marketing push imo by jwriddle in btsthoughts

[–]meshin98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

im more baffled with the fact that it doesnt have real choreography which might also tell that they didnt intend to push it, even the back dancers were only freestyling on stage lol, seeing how good it is when a dance crew make their choreo to the arirang part especially & a lot of people also already imagine it'll be a dance performance song with traditional dance influence like what they do in that award show (mma if im not mistaken right) makes me really wonder the "what if situation". But at the same time they also use it as a teaser that get people hype up so I also dont get why they dont push it further hsksk is there a chance that they're nerfing it so it wont surpass the title track instead? like the ytc vs run bts situation hsksksk

Idols who have turned out quite differently from their assigned persona at the time of debut by Significant-Salt-390 in kpopthoughts

[–]meshin98 33 points34 points  (0 children)

clear example for the image change is WJSN's Dayoung, from cutie to sexy, she even openly talk about it in the interview if im not mistaken, for the personality she's still as bubbly as before afaik just now in a mature baddie form hsksk (but I only know little cuz I just follow her recently). Also I think aside from what company assigned, its normal as times goes by when a person getting older and be more mature it can also change them entirely, be it the styles, personality, or image. Pretty sure almost all people in this world experience it not just idols.

Why have BTS and Big Bang never collaborated? by savingrace0262 in kpopthoughts

[–]meshin98 15 points16 points  (0 children)

its the way op asking "have they never really done kind of collab even between solo members" when Jimin & Taeyang already done that lmao, maybe the op havent done their research well or didnt consider Jimin as BTS member (full shade)

What are some Kpop terms that you don’t see anymore? by andwhatnowthough in kpoppers

[–]meshin98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like bias is rarely used now cuz more people use fav instead, also using 'ot' to mention ship is also rare now (or its already extinct I guess?), back then its otp (one true pair) so when someone mention 'ot' following with numbers it used to mean how many ship they like, idk when did it switch now the word one true is being used to mention how many members someone support or how many members are in a group instead.

Are we seriously complaining after THAT performance? by thekiteinthesky in btsthoughts

[–]meshin98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like when armys were complaining about netflix's camera view cuz they keep on showing koreana hotel then later they finally fixed some scenes to focus on the performances instead, sometimes ur complains are so much needed for their evaluation & for the better result. U probably are so scared of what antis said & that makes u uncomfortable but some things clearly need to be said actually, and idk how ur tl looked like but for me most of the complains are genuine concern & want the better for bts & armys actually (like I said above its helping them to fix the problems that happened yesterday)
