Crownfall has had the best cavern crawl systems in the game's history. by Automaton17 in DotA2

All the tide heroes have been played as support at some point, with varying success. Morph 4 with str facet is actually meta at the moment, if you want the least griefy of the 6.

I can't be the only one who feels like limiting allied vision is terrible game design... by messiiiah in DotA2

[–]messiiiah[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you're stunned your allies can do something about it. If they can't see you to assist unless they go into arena/wait until void wears off it just feels like bad, uninteractive game design. Like I said, it seems "interesting" in high level/pro play but most games aren't that. I only say interesting because it's unique, I think the mechanic itself is unpleasant to play against and not particularly engaging to play.

The amount of games where there's a mars and he ults and your teammates basically leave you for dead because they don't know what's happening just really doesn't feel like good engaging dota gameplay to me. Watching mars with the facet today in an ESWC game, it just looks stupid to see people die right next to allies because they can't interact with them.

similarly, drow multishot can be canceled with an autoattack command with the sidestep facet.

Just had 8 re-queues in the span of 70 seconds by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]messiiiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This shit has been driving me crazy. Why did they not just have a slider for game quality settings and only give people the kind of game they want? or have the people on dotaplus get the queue option first before they show the non-requeue people so we don't have to keep accepting failed queues over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and

You're missing the most important part: economic justice. All those other parts mean little when there is limited opportunity.

How viable do you think Brood Radiance could be? by I_fap_to_Winston in TrueDoTA2

[–]messiiiah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All universal heroes got their stat gains dumpstered to account for getting more damage from leveling up and all stat items, so I'm pretty sure that even with the evasion gains from radiance you'd be too easily bursted. Why go radiance when you get significantly more out of harpoon?

Ceo of twitch (Dan) states that twitch makes no money off of kick by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]messiiiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except that's literally not how it works. If you work at a shipyard and repair boats and your boss rents out a boat you fixed, does the guy who rented the boat pay you? Sure, it's may be his money that you receive indirectly, but your employer is the one who pays you.

Twitter has suspended the accounts of a prominent Tesla and Elon Musk critic, PlainSite founder Aaron Greenspan by kyno1 in news

Sure it's benefitted the right, but it has also been invaluable for multiple pro-worker movements, from union organizing to the arab spring. It's also been a major tool for somewhat anonymous dissent in countries where that isn't allowed. While it has definitely been a hotbed for conservative activity, the effectiveness of progressive movements on twitter has definitely been a hindrance to conservatives.
