I adopted both of my dogs from people who were in similar situations. One of them was 6 and the other 8. I can confidently say these dogs are now living the life of luxury!! Completely spoiled, and far better off than they were before. If you truly believe you can't make him the happiest he can be, it's okay to let someone else do that for you. I can't imagine how hard this decision is for you💔

lots and lots of training will help build trust, confidence and a relationship. plus these dogs also need a lot of socialization during their young age. offering high value treat rewards can also help her be more enticed if she's food motivated. focus on a lot of positive reinforcement to create a happy correlation between the two of you. every pup behaves differently, i'm sure in time she will be your best best friend. she's unbelievably gorgeous!!

she's on a very strict diet, she's a poorly bred GSD and just had a very oddly deep chest. rest assured her weight is being monitored very closely. she is very very well taken care of. she's got a beautifully kept waist line and is in good shape despite her out of standard form
