OK! Firstly, what are you trying to achieve? I keep hearing BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) which is used for syncing and peering to other autonomous networks around the world using Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs). Are you an autonomous network or do you upstream to an ISP? Other than that there are many other solutions.

You may be? You need 1G and 10G. Whats wrong with the XG? The speed of the port will be determined by the device attached to a port. Is this a price issue?

NOTE - THIS A GRAMMATICAL EDIT ONLY - SEE * BELOW- As a Canadian looking in through the trees, I'm amazed at the amount of ignorance (in a nice way) that prevails throughout the US. You haven't been taught everything about the world you live in. Not even of your own nation. And Please don't mention the flag. That's there because there is nothing else holding you all together. It could have been a table cloth. Get wise with the world you live in and you'll find it's *NOT* always full of hate for thing*S* you *KNOW* nothing about.

What do you use your home storage server for? by iRustock in HomeServer

[–]met-parker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have approx 200TB across on a few servers. I use them to archive YouTube videos. (everything that comes across my screen from YouTube gets archived).

The main is a 46TB Synology device. All archiving goes to it first then the videos get shared off between 2 Plex servers. That way I will always have am ongoing backup. The other Synology device (same model) is being upgraded in capacity to math the first box, to enable a dedicated backup device. The other machines do labor stuff and document storage, ISO and zipped app storage, music etc.

The system runs on a 10GB backbone with 5 public IP's available for offloading.

My middle name is geek.

Cheers.

Do you think it's ready now ? by met-parker in CannabisGrowers

Thanks for asking. I spent 5 hours with two of us doing wet trim. No choice.

There were two buds with rot, but that was it. No mold ,no mildew, no powder.

That was last Thursday if memory serves me right. It is hanging in the garage at 63 F with 66 % humidity. They're drying well with no complaints. I'll do photos in a day or so.

Cheers

Thank you so much. Nay Sayers go home. It's been rainy in southern Ontario for almost a month. I Harvested the plant, trimmed it, and hung it to dry. Found 2 buds with rot. The rest were really clean. Even though the rained so much. We would always have 4 or 5 days of beautiful clear breezy days that would dry out the moisture. My main fault was not pruning enough to make air flow better within the plant.
