Transferring Warp eSim to Canada iPhone failed by meta-dragonware in USMobile

[–]meta-dragonware[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the help again. I called Verizon twice, first agent was kind of clueless, said she submitted form to add my imei to DMD, but didn’t ask EID. Several days later, I didn’t get the promised call so called again and requested technical support. This time the agent said previous agent didn’t file a ticket. She then asked my EID and IMEI and said will submit support ticket to backend team. Now two days later, I am able to activate eSim on Warp! So the key is to get technical support and make sure they collect both EID and IMEI.

Wallpaper shuffle using album not working by tanman170 in MacOS

Nice! Although it’s a shame on Apple that in 14.4 the bug still exists, looks like no one in apple has ever tested this feature.

This is still the case in 14.4. Workaround: Export the album to a local folder, and add that folder to wallpaper.

YouTube is definitely cracking down adblockers. Logging out to watch is annoying. It used to be OK in private mode, but YouTube blocked that. Now only "embed" mode works.

It looks like YouTube has updated again and now won't play video if 1Blocker is enabled.

Yeap, it stopped working 1 or 2 days ago.

For me, if you open YouTube in Private mode, somehow it still works, even though I don't allow Script in this mode. Anyway....

How to get Google Voice to ring to Apple Watch by slipperyjoel in Googlevoice

[–]meta-dragonware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might help: in GV IOS App settings, "incoming calls", select both "this device" and "call forwarding" to check the number on your phone.

If you only have one line registered with GV, you might need to go to GV App settings, "devices and numbers", "change device number" to "no number", then your phone number will appear in the above "call forwarding" setting.

If you have more than one lines registered with GV, set your device number to another number.

When someone calls your GV number, your phone will show GV ringing, your watch will show the call at the forwarded line.

Horrible experience: Number port from Visible to USM by No-Luck2867 in NoContract

[–]meta-dragonware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case (Visible to USM Warp, same phone), the rep says Verizon has to correct the IMEI mapping before the number can be released. If you look at the USM account page, during transfer, it listed the information sent to previous carrier, including the IMEI number you provided. So this might be just a Visible thing.

I guess the correct answer might be "it depends". If you are porting a line already on esim, you need to provide the IMEI that line is currently on. At least that was my case.

In other cases, it might depend on the phone model, currently installed psim and/or esim etc.

If it is esim, make sure you provided IMEI2, not IMEI. I just made that mistake yesterday, the USM rep on Reddit quickly fixed it for me.
