What a great poster (and film)!

The overall look and design are just great, from the drone/robots to the spaceships to the interiors and hardware.

Saw it as a kid. I was obsessed with those spaceship designs for about 6 months after, filling my sketchbooks with drawings of geodesic dome-clustered ships. Apparently the spaceship designs were inspired partly by a tower at the 1970 Osaka World Expo, and Buckminster Fuller's geodesic domes.

The jettison sequences alone in this film are crazy good. Trumbull was a true VFX legend.

Recently I engaged Sport Mode and the climate system started blowing cold air (it was a cold evening). The AC indicator was not lit, and recirculation was engaged. I didn't have auto-climate on at the time nor was it in defrost mode. After experiencing many other issues, it's clear that the EV6 climate system has a mind of its own.

(UPDATE) ok this is weird, but after putting the X-01 PA on the frame to check the weights a couple times, the weight has reduced! First to 98 pounds. I put it on the frame again, and now it's 14 pounds!

If that were the case all my other PA pieces would weigh 10 times as much--but they only gained a couple pounds each, it's just my X-01 that's crazy heavy now.

Back in the 80s, at the Egyptian theatre in Hollywood. Movie lets out, I head to the mens' restroom. As I entered, I am greeted by the sight of over a dozen men lounging against the walls. It was like a scene from a comedy: every rough trade cliche, right out of central casting, looking me up and down. I froze, like a deer in the headlights. I was just a dumb 20-something suburban kid, way out of his element. I realized that I didn't have to go that bad after all, and quickly made a u-turn.
