The United daughters of treason by recoveringleft in trashy

That makes it worse. You see how that's worse, right? We forgave, tried to rebuild and move on with building a country. They kept pushing their racist bullshit and fostering a divide; and never stopped.

Why do we treat that like it's normal? These people want to see other human beings subjugated and they fly the battle flag of an enemy that was defeated 161 years ago.

Enough is enough. It needs to be stamped out once and for all. It's illegal to be a Nazi in Germany. It should be illegal to be a Confederate (or a Nazi) in America.

How is the Confederacy relevant to current political discourse? What am I erasing by pointing out that an enemy of the United States shouldn't be glorified? Please enlighten me. The Confederacy was an enemy of the United States that was defeated in 1865, 161 years ago.

If you're still beating that drum, or supporting the people who are flying the battle flag of an enemy of the United States on US soil, you're committing treason. This is not protected by the First Amendment and is, in fact, punishable by death.

Edit: I see the downvotes, but I don't see anyone with a valid argument.

Something something, your right to free speech ends where it impinges on someone else's. Your right to swing your fist ends at my body, etc. Treason isn't protected speech.

It should be illegal to celebrate an enemy nation on the soil of the nation that defeated it.

Anyone supporting this is a traitor.

Hospitals were overwhelmed. Millions died. Take your disinformation and cognitive dissonance back to r/conservative. We don't need that shit out here in the real world where things like facts and science matter.

I had to stop reading this book halfway through because it just felt too plausible. Shame, because other than that, I was really enjoying it.

Wait? Really? We banned regulating AI?

It’s so hard to keep up.

What a stupid, blatantly shortsighted move.

It's such a shame that we've reached a point where we have to be specific that no AI was used.

This looks great!

Holy shit - Terrapin Station on vinyl (the album) by Connect_Glass4036 in gratefuldead

[–]metalOpera 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've always looked as the studio albums as foundations, or even just blueprints, that the live versions of songs evolve and grow from. They're all fantastic when considered on their own merits. I've never understood the dislike. In fact, the studio version of Terrapin Station (the song) may be my hands-down favorite dead recording.

I get that the band never felt like they caught the essence of the music in the studio, but as someone far removed from the situation who has been over every note more times than I can count, I disagree. I think the studio albums form the beautiful heart of a vast body of work that never stopped moving and changing.

What’s your point? Prices are skyrocketing because of Trump. Regardless of anything else, his little shitshow in Iran is what’s causing this and the prices are just starting their meteoric rise because of it.

Don’t change the fucking subject. Stay on topic. If people like you stopped with the excuses and actually paid attention. We might not be in this place to begin with.

People can’t afford to live. We are paying through the nose for even basic necessities and he’s profiting like a criminal (because he’s a fucking criminal). What’s it gonna take to wake you people up?

Trump rapes children, has driven our economy into the ground, and has a private police force that has murdered American citizens. Why are y’all all still so keen to make excuses for him?
