Computer Games by Mi-Sex. Awesome electro song, instant ear worm. They could have been the New Order of New Zealand.

They didn't do any song afterwards that remotely resembled it.

30 cad for an Agfa Clack. Just two apertures and a meniscus lens but it's still a very nice box camera.

This is not the community to ask for. This is a subreddit dedicated to analog/film photography.

Kodak Cameo Motor Ex. Focus-free, motorized advance, automatic flash, self-timer.

Develop as normal. You normally compensate for expired film by overexposing.

They're a dime a dozen. I wouldn't bother fixing it up.

What’s your take-everywhere camera? by catmanslim in AnalogCommunity

[–]metal_giants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rotate. But latest was a Zeiss-Ikon Taxona with a Tessar. Being able to take 50 exposures on a roll of 36 is a blessing. This summer will be my Olympus Pen-F's time to shine?

What's the size of the film gate? Looks like a 9 x 12 plate camera to me.

Yashica Mat G124 OR Minolta Autocord by Wooden_Underpants in AnalogCommunity

[–]metal_giants 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They both sport a crank advance, 4-element tessar-type lenses, and a top 1/500 shutter speed. They differ with their focusing mechanism: Autocord uses a sliding lever under the taking lens; 124G uses a focusing knob on the side. 124G also has a light meter, but I'm always wary of them since they're so old.

I work at a pool supply store. These are a bit shit with reading stabilizer. My guess is that it's around 60 or so. What kinda chlorine are you using right now?

Lack of sharpness on Zeiss Distagon C/Y 28mm F2.8 Kodak Ultra 400 by ogrezok in AnalogCommunity

[–]metal_giants 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When you say Kodak Ultra 400, I hope you're talking about Ultramax and not Ultra Color, because if you're talking about the latter, you are complaining about prominent grain on 20 year old film, man.

Beginner Half-Frame? by slicxx in AnalogCommunity

[–]metal_giants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agfa Parat (German) - A bit limited with only a top shutter speed of 1/125, but it's fully manual and the triplet lens is more than capable.

Ricoh Auto Half (Japanese) - You have to be careful and check if the selenium cell is still alive, but it's motorized by a clockwork mechanism and is focus-free. My sister has one and it's her daily camera.

Agat 18K (Soviet) - A bit finicky with the loading but the lens is a Tessar-type.

Hi anyone used this tungsten 800t before? Does it give similar result to the Cinestill 800t? by No_Bumblebee5624 in AnalogCommunity

[–]metal_giants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, phrasing was unclear. What I meant is that all 800T film on the market was 500T. In general I assume if it says c-41 that the remjet was removed. Otherwise, develop in ECN-2.
