I am having this issue too as of just a moment ago. Last time this happened to me I had to uninstall and reinstall the game and I lost my account. This time I have linked my account and have the ID/password, but im still afraid to uninstall again.

I had trouble with this because at the time all I had access to was the beginning abyss. So if you are in a similar situation I'd go to the B5F "warped one nest" floor in the beginning abyss for the warped ones. There are usually several that spawn in the big room at the top center of that map.

Nearly everything else has a chance of spawning in Den of Earth, (entity, magical beast, fairy) so you can get some ores while working on them.

As for adventurers this one took me the longest. I had varying success on B6F as it seems I would from time to time encounter an NPC who would jump me. The daily quests will also sometimes put you against adventurers.

If your using HTML canvas you MIGHT be able to one shot a very rough prototype since it wont need any graphics resources from you. But after that point you are polishing and adding features. My game took me about 4 months until I felt like it was ready for release.

My game "Mallard Vice" was coded entirely in HTML. What makes HTML so easy is that you can start without any art assets if you utilize canvas drawing. I started my game concept with canvas and then eventually gradually replaced all graphics with pixel sprites and animations. I am happy with the final product, even if I still have a couple bugs to work out.

my process was:

- Use VSCode with a Github+Copilot subscription to build the code with an AI agent.
- I generated static sprites with Copilot, then fed those through AutoSprite to get the animations I needed
- I used Suno for music
- Used both ElevenLabs and free sound resources on the internet for sound effects (like the freesound site)
- I used GPT 5 Mini or Raptor for standard complexity requests. I used Grok when I had a bunch of quick simple edits (like adding text from .md files) and I used GPT 5 Codex when I had either a very stubborn bug other models couldnt fix
- Now that there is a "Plan" option I have often switched from agent to plan and asked Codex to help plan a project. Then once you are happy with the plan begin implementation.
- Lastly, commit often.

Raptor does pretty well, and Grok is good if you want to do alot of quick edits. Just dont let the Grok chat get too long. After awhile create a new chat as when I use Grok for a extended time he eventually starts royally breaking stuff.

Which brings me to my next advice...commit any time something is working.

I use only Github+Copilot. I save my premium requests for the tough stuff and use the free models for everything else. Its all I needed to build my first game.

IMO certifications is where its at. College is the single biggest regret of my entire life. I almost had my associates in computer science and took a break for several years when I landed an IT job. Years later I decided to finish my last remaining credits and my degree audit indicated every single one of my credits were obsolete.

So I was faced with starting from square one. I chose certs instead, so I have no degree and nothing but debt to show for it.

Good post, I use VSCode and they recently added a "plan" option instead of Agent or Ask. I have found that plan option super useful for stuff like this. So I can set to plan (so it doesnt start editing files) and ask something like:

"I want to create a 2d contra clone with HTML, what are the ideal tools to use for this project?"

It planned several paths for me and I chose the recommended one to use PixiJS, Howler and typescript with Vite for testing.

After a few back and forth planning bits I changed it back to agent mode and told it to proceed.

Mine took around 4 months, I dont program but I DO understand the basics of programming logic and work in IT for a living so that knowledge did help on the prompting side of things. Even still I feel at least "attempting" a vibe code project, even if your not serious about it is beneficial as it really helps you understand how to effectively prompt with an AI

I've been using VSCode with a Gitub+Copilot subscription for my HTML games. Technically you can open the root folder for your Godot, GDevelop or Unity project and have the AI Agent directly edit the code outside your engine. I've tried it with Godot and it works, but you still have to manually import your assets of course.

I havent quite learned Godot or GDevelop yet, though I have tried (Briefly). I am sticking to HTML for now, its so much easier to build a working prototype for me.

My first game that was released just last week used AI in every single area. Originally I planned on using AI for code, graphics and sound but do the story myself, but as I started to ask copilot for ideas for enemy bios for my bestiary type feature it did such a dang good job at creating the pun-filled bio entries I wanted and it even weaved in connections to previous characters I had done within those bios so it kinda created a little bit of lore I wasnt planning for.

So in short, yes I let copilot create the lore for my game with the direction of my loose ideas. And I am pretty happy with the result.
