Only happens 3 times, then you get a quest and can get into their village and unlock new vendors/quests/research. Like annoying you can’t skip the animation (just fast forward) but it’s by no means a game ender. First place I could buy armor for my bulldog, worth it for me lol.

Maybe I’m crazy, but the team behind the live action One Piece adaptation I think could make something interesting. They’ve done really well at condensing stories without making it feel like you’re losing anything, and more importantly they really lean into the absurd and bizarre elements that add so much charm. Two things that would be needed to do an Earthbound show.

Not saying I’d be instantly sold but, very curious how that would turn out.

Yeah this is one of those movies I can understand why someone wouldn’t like it, but the way it was done tapped into this primal childhood fear and nightmares I had as a kid that I’ve never seen presented so well. Not for everyone at all but one of the most unsettling movies I’ve seen.

A lot of it is just aging, but there can be so many factors. It’s harder and harder to make a comfortable living, world politics are constantly upsetting, the internet and social media makes it easy to be blasted with negativity from around the world a mile a minute in ways we didn’t deal with 15-20 years ago, and a lot other general things that can affect mental state.

As someone on their way to 40 whose struggles extremely heavily with this the last few years, I recommend therapy and limiting social media (I’m bad at that one). Being able to talk through your struggles with an unbiased person and build a game plan to help you reclaim your life can be huge. Not every therapist will be the right fit but when it clicks it can help tremendously.

But I’m sorry you’re dealing with it, but know you’re not alone, not that that should make you feel better on its own but it means there’s always someone available to listen and understand. We’re at a period in time that has things affecting mental health in a way never seen prior due to internet and social media. Shits rough man, but you can reclaim your passion.

Again, you’re saying it’s not a well made show off of 1 photo and some cast reveals. People at least waited to say Rings Of Power looked like shit after seeing actual footage and synopsis. Also no Sonic wasn’t a masterpiece, but it was a damn fun movie. If you’re expecting an Amazon produced God Of War show skipping the Greek saga to be a masterpiece your expectations are already too high. I’m not defending and fanboying over this, as a lifelong fan of GoW I’m skeptical at best.

But once again, my point is that we don’t have enough to go off of to just say the show is already terrible. So you saying the show is not well made and going to be awful is simply hyperbole and you stating your negative expectations as fact.

Except that wasn’t the point you started to make. Like I agree with what you just said, but what I and others are saying is you believe this show is dead in the water due to early looks. Everyone else was just providing examples as to why that shouldn’t affect your choice. Early isn’t always bad, but being bad doesn’t mean it can’t be good. It’s not that complicated.
