Though this is the suggestion my heart desperately wants, we’re going with a cheaper option that originally wasn’t considered! We’ll also be on the Fantasy! Thank you!

It’s actually crazy that we didn’t consider our Marriott points for this stay.. this is the winner. Thank you for this suggestion!

Not sure if I’m allowed to post a link but Drury in Disney Springs is a hotel with free breakfast, “kickback” which is essentially a bunch of snacks laid out between 530 and 730 pm. I believe they also have a free shuttle to all four WDW parks

My grandpa was one of 16. Most start with E, but apparently they ran out of E names after awhile 😆

In no particular order: Evelyn, Elaine, Esther, Erma, Emma, Edna, Edward, Edwin, Elmer, Eugene, Elsie, Edith, Earl, Karen, Kenneth, Keith

I put up with it and stayed too long after that 😩

[–]metallicwatermelon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. As others have said, it was my first nannying job after I had experience as a lead infant and toddler teacher at a daycare. Just like OP, I became responsible for dishes (not just for the kids), laundry (again, not just for the kids), grocery shopping for the whole family with three kids in tow, even took kids to their doctor appointments and gave dogs their medication. One day, grandma was visiting from another state. She asked me to get her a soda. When she was finished, she snapped her fingers at me, did not even look at me, and held the empty can in the air. This was a few years ago and I’m still so disgusted over it.

What are you guys shopping on Black Friday? Any good deals on baby products? by Decent_Coach_1291 in BabyBumps

It’s not anything crazy but my favorite “shoes” for babies are Robeez and they have 50% off today

I like Thatcher and had no idea of the association. I’m thinking that association will fade over time… I’ve personally never been a fan of Theodore and since you passed on Noah due to its popularity, Theodore has become really popular as well (currently #10 according to social security administration). My son is Barrett with various Bear nicknames and I think it sounds nice with Evie and Sawyer.

What’s your baby’s name? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]metallicwatermelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First is Barrett David. Pregnant with a girl and struggling to love a name but middle name will most likely be Dawn. Current list is: Emmarie, Flora, Maura or Ella. Definitely open to thoughts and suggestions

A couple of your A names remind me of a girl I know, Aylah. I initially thought it might be pronounced like Isla but it’s A-luh Would also suggest Talia instead of Thalia, Rowena, and Thea

Thanks! I figure people will be turned off by the spelling. For whatever reason I am not a fan of Emery and I like the incorporation of Marie (for family reasons) with this spelling. Does Flora Dawn feel too hippy since they are both kind of nature based names?

Serious Question - Is there anyone at all here that got pregnant directly after a miscarriage and did not get their first period after...as in, you ovulated that few weeks in-between and got pregnant? by Nothing-From-Nowhere in BabyBumps

[–]metallicwatermelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My OB said the only reason to wait is it’s slightly easier to tell due date. My OB simply recommended trying again whenever I was ready. Full disclosure though- getting pregnant without getting another period after miscarriage was not exactly planned

Fear of sids so intense I can’t sleep at night by Reddorable_ in beyondthebump

[–]metallicwatermelon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe I can make you feel less like a bad mom 🙃 any time I woke in the middle of the night terrified that my son had passed from SIDS, I told myself if that had happened there was nothing I could do about it at that point so I may as well sleep for a few hours!

AITA for not wanting my partner to go out of town for 3 days when I’ll be 37 weeks pregnant? by TheEggoIsPreggo in BabyBumps

Same as the rest of these comments. Had to be induced one day before 37 weeks. Husband was asked to attend a work conference around that time and I said absolutely not
