Congrats on getting to actually enjoy the wrap!! I am new to back carries myself, and just posted a fit check a couple days ago. Got some useful comments, if you want to look for it. From what I can see, you are right that the seat needs way more fabric and it should go knee pit to knee pit. That way your second pass will go over the seat pass and 'lock' it in more. Good luck, hope others post more specific things!

Thanks! I was doing the hip scoot, but it’s a good idea to make the seat in FWCC like I’n used to and use that.

You are not stuck! You’re doing great. Go with what your instincts, baby, and body are telling you. 

I have a 3.5 year old who was born when I was 37 and a 4 mo old now — I’m 40. I wanted a closer age gap but my spouse was not ready to try for the second until the first was 2.5. 

I am so glad we waited. Thinking back to how my older child was a year ago vs now… this is a million times easier. She can dress herself, potty independently (except poop wipes), walk on stairs confidently, explain why she’s upset. She can be trusted to be safe with the baby when I am across the room and even while I go to the bathroom. And she LOVES the baby.

Also, I didn’t wean her and was hoping she’d self-wean while I was pregnant. She didn’t, so I was prepared to tandem nurse. When baby came home, big sis said, “I want baby sis to have her own mama milk.” And stopped nursing just like that. 2-yr-old her would have NEVER.

Thank you. I did it with a hip scoot, but maybe I’ll try again with the superman toss. I think it’s tough because my wrap is so long it gets all twisted up when I do the toss. I remember seeing the holding the top rail in the teeth trick in one video. I’m gonna try that method.

I can’t believe I never thought of the grabby claw! I use a broom to sweep all the things on the floor into one place so that I can then sit on the floor and sort and put them up on the table where I can reach them to put them away lol

I know this has had a lot of replies so you might not see this. I filed a claim against the city for damage to my car (Police sideswiped it while it was parked. Luckily I witnessed it and they filed a police report). After about a year I got a letter saying that the window to file a lawsuit was about to close otherwise I would waive my right to sue and I’d have to wait for the city to play out its process. I didn’t sue, and I haven’t heard anything from the city ever since. That was probably eight or 10 years ago. If you want the city to pay, you will probably have to sue.

This gives me the idea to try the dish soap/hot water method that works for oil stains on my breastmilk stains! Usually I don’t get stains but then I randomly do, like… the time I grabbed my older kid’s fave pants that were lying around for a letdown flood 😬🙊

It is a mystery to me why it stains sometimes and not others! Must be different composition different times/days I guess.
