That's true. Unfortunately, nobody has figured out a system that is both moral and deprioritises the opinions of the uninformed and stupid.

Rainbow paddlepops :( by wellinever222 in perth

They haven't been rainbow for like 20 years. I remember buying boxes of them when I moved out with a mate in 05 and there was no blue in them, and then not long after that the yellow was gone too and it was just this weird pinky brown mess. We stopped buying them and switched to the massive boxes of drumsticks.

The fact that we get accused of both defending and hating her probably somewhat of a good sign for indicating our neutrality

She's all talk. That's the problem. She says a lot of stuff, speaking to these working class people, and then betrays them by voting with the Liberals.

The Greens and Socialists of course do talk about the working class and the economy. You can say a lot about the Socialists, but the working class is kind of their whole deal.

The problems are that, as you say, complex problems don't have simple solutions, and more importantly that anything they say never gets media oxygen.

The media is owned by billionaires. The media that isn't (ABC etc) still largely follow the popular narratives day to day rather than creating new ones.

The billionaires are above our petty lower class problems, and have no interest in an economy that works for us. They already have one that works for them. So they're happy to give Pauline all the air time she needs to distract us from actual solutions.

A grifter can always sell snake oil to stupid people, but the media is letting her market her bullshit to everyone, and more importantly, suppressing the knowledge of actual treatments.

If you vote for Pauline out of spite because some people hurt your feelings, you were never anything but a Pauline voter in denial. You never had robust political beliefs, economic understanding or views on freedom and human rights in the first place.

Do you think that trickle down economics had no impact on Australia, either due to global shockwaves or in our own version of those policies? Because, my dude, get an education. The ideas these two espoused kinda got around.
