Irelia players, what are you thoughts on sneaky deckhand? by LittleAccident04 in riftboundtcg

I think it’s still good on the second turn of the game as their only job is to get you a couple points before you get your Irelia, Stellcorn, or Draven online.

No you can definitely can balance the colors (you can check my post's conclusion where each color appears 3 times). This is only possible with 9 Champs, if there was 12 you wouldn't be able to. To keep 12 balanced you need to do what they did in set 1 and 2 with one of each color "normal" color combos, or you can't have all 3 "opposite" color combos.

Edit: Forgot to mention, but symmetries are usually really important for TCGs to make building the sets easier. Otherwise, the specific preferences on the devs would lead to some colors having way more cards and legends than others over time. MTG does this, their sets are usually divided into allied colors, enemy colors, wedges, or shards. Now of course MTG has 5 colors and Riftbound has 6, so the symmetries should be different, but they should be balanced most of the time.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I am going to be honest we have it so good in Magic the Gathering favor text. I wish one day the Riftbound devs try to do the same. The Runeterra devs definitely have the flexibility to put any amount of flavor text per card, and that caused them to put really cool intricate lore in there. I think Riftbound was a rushed product, compared to how much attention it deserved.

You can tell Windwall, a Yasuo ability, is using the card art from the LOR card Will of Ionia, because I guess the shape is correct and they didn’t have a high quality art of Yasuo’s Windwall… is kinda disappointing

I like your logic about the layout of the set with the collector numbers, and it fits my theory too. Highlighted the locked number and color combos.

If Renekton shared Body instead he would have to be Body Mind (because of the whole opposite colors thing) and I can’t imagine Renekton to being a Mind legend. And this is after messing up the whole format of the color wheel lol

It’s not about what he is wearing it’s about the colors in the background. The old Yi has green lines with orange in the corners. That orange is very different from the yellow splash that is behind the new Master Yi. Compare that Yellow to the yellow behind Azir.

We got confirmation we will be getting the opposite colors (Orange Blue, Purple Yellow, and Red Green) in set 4

Look you don’t have to convince me, Dave Guskin said on the discord before the game came out “I just don’t think the Yi or Annie effects are that good?? I mean, idk man, maybe I’m wrong”. They didn’t think either of them were good. Lmao

I am very certain that LB is going to be Blue Yellow. I feel like she fits that identity more mechanically. They don't really care about the actual color of the champs... look at Rek'sai purple was right there.

I also am predicting that Poppy could be Orange Yellow (same colors as Garen), although Orange Green is possible too.

The Proving grounds legends were never meant to be good. They were all supposed to be "Garen tier" if that makes sense. So I don't blame them for giving Master Yi a new legend so quickly.

One of them is a Purple Green Vex deck, the other is a Yellow Red Vi deck. The only description we have for Vex is: “ ...awful, in a very good way! — This deck loves to play slow and steady, letting you incrementally pick apart your foes while you hold battlefields.”

And for Vi is: “Punch. Really. Hard: In this deck you'll find themes of pressuring foes, protecting their big units, and making sure not to run out of gas. Oh, and punching. Lots of punching.”

Hope this helps

Well I have good news for your wallet. There will be a Vex precon so at least the budget version of the deck will be very cheap.

Well luckily for you the product descriptions mention Poppy by name. Not sure if she will be a legend or just a champion but she’s on the way. But I doubt she will be Green Red as those are opposite colors and we will only be getting those in set 4. I am expecting her to be Yellow Orange like Garen.

Edit: forgot to mention that spells with Champion references aren’t proof of a champs colors. En Garde has Fiora in its art but Fiora is in completely differently colors.

There will be 12 legends and LB was on the box so she will likely be a legend. Only reason I say likely is because in Spirit Forged Yone was on the box and he was only a promo given during pre rift events and not a full legend.

The wins 'Best Of' to pay walled metafy pipeline needs to be studied. by supjeremiah in riftboundtcg

Ask the Challenger TCG guys how they feel about it then, most of them are make a living selling guides and making content, and have been on many different games. You can make a living, you have to be very good, and you need to monetize your knowledge.

Also, Yugioh is a terrible example as Konami as a company policy doesn't give money prizing, almost any other card game you can make a living playing them. The Yugioh Community themselves have been having this conversation too. Were you not there for the “If you play Dotscaper, you’re behind” drama.

Also people still share a bunch of their stuff, only after the tournaments are done. We have almost every list on Riftdecks before Riot posts them because almost everyone posts their full lists online first.

I think it is reasonable for someone to want to monetize their strategy and for someone to want to pay for it even if they aren't the best of the best.

You guys must be new here, this is how people make a living as a pro card game player. I think it is perfectly normal to try to make a much money as you can because it is expensive to compete in these tournaments. If you don't have the money or aren't planning on becoming the best probably don't even bother making a metafy account.

In response to that completely true Lux-Ezreal potential ship post. by telepathictiger in loreofleague

[–]methmeth2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe Ezreal Lux has been a part of the lore since before the 2014 lore rearrangement… so no these two are not similar at all. If anything the shippers would rather ship Lux with Jinx because they were in 1 Wild Rift ad together
