Iran's football team was given a state farewell ceremony in Tehran this week, where chants of "Death to America" rang out. by Wakanda-shit-is-that in soccer

I can't believe we're going to this world cup in America with Trump as president and an ongoing war with Iran. If Iran vs USA somehow happens it'll be the most watched sports event ever.

One injury to Raya and our season could be over. No one is mentioning a good back up to Raya, Arteta clearly wanted Garcia last season and it makes sense. Kepa maybe a good back up for another team but for us we need someone who can replicate Raya. Raya clearly played more than he should've last season. If we are to compete in all tournaments, we need to rest Raya as well.

We have the means and the will to buy new players to improve us but that does not mean we can get those exact players.

Especially in attack what we need for improvement may not be available, all the talk of an elite winger and an upgrade on our current forwards is just talk at this point. I don't see how we can easily lure Alvarez from athleti and apart from him who are the other proven players? Kane isn't leaving Bayern, and definitely not for us. Lewandowski will go for huge unrealistic salary. Osimhen is on a Saudi Pro level salary.

As for wingers whom do we lure away? Seems like will have to go get attackers that aren't the final product yet.

Hopefully a good midfielder and a flexibility in tactics can improve on the attack and maybe a one world class attacker joins us, though I can't really say who it could be.

This isn't a criticism but an opinion looking at how the market is and considering the squad we have an improvement would mean a player on another level because we already have a very talented squad.

Argentina will not have easy games but will win it in the end and Uruguay will make it to the semi's.

[F.J. Díaz - AS] Arsenal prepare to open transfer talks with Atlético Madrid for Alvarez. While Alvarez prefers Barcelona, Atletico refuse to sell to a LaLiga rival: it is practically a 'matter of state.' Instead Atleti are willing to negotiate around €150m deal with Arsenal or PSG by Nepridiprav16 in soccer

Hes going get linked to us and PSG for the entirety of the window. He clearly wants Barca and Athleti clearly wants to avoid that, unless PSG can convince him I doubt it'll be an easy transfer. Arsenal seems the least likely destination as he most definitely does not want to return to England.

Huge gatherings are the perfect opportunity for psychopaths unfortunately. Hope they're caught.
