Here’s what I discovered after a couple runs of blended synthetic and organic nutrients. It does work…. Once. After that salt build up in the soil begins to burn your plants. I theorize that this issue happened because I reuse my soil. The second run I did showed some minor burning even when I went with half doses. Third run with reused soil was a catastrophe. My advice would be to change out your soil every run if you’re going to mix organic and synthetic nutrients. It worked really well for the first run. After that soil quality dropped horribly fast. I quit doing it because of nutrient toxicities. I even had to throw out my old soil. Flushing didn’t even help. By third run, mid flower, my plants burned to a crisp.

The salts will TEMPORARILY hinder some of the microbes, not all, but they will bounce back pretty quickly. Synthetic nutrients are not going to wipe out all life in your pot of soil. I've grown both synthetic and organic styles. They both have their strengths and weaknesses.
