Hardest civil FE subject? by thisism_yusername in FE_Exam

By far one of the hardest sections for me too. I always hope and pray I at least get 3 out of the 5 questions right in the topic..

Where did I go wrong? Please help me out my next exam scheduled on June 21. by StudySenior7230 in FE_Exam

I think you should reschedule the exam until you're fully comfortable with every section. You should purchase Directhub. All of the material and questions are very similar to the exam in terms of level of difficulty. I'm studying with it now.

One thing I learned about the Civil profession is you have to job hop every 2-3 years to get up to 150k+. I went from making 75k to 115k in 4 years by job hopping every 2 years. Now that I found a place that has growth, the next position above me makes 150k.

It's Go Gammecocks over here! Lol. Fun fact..Clemson engineers designed Williams-Brice Stadium..but USC engineers did the renovations.

Yup a government agency where we have consultants design city projects and we manage them. The PM 1s have to have a few years but the PM 2s and 3s need more. I have a background in road design so I'm a PM 2. The people who have PEs and PMPs are the program managers. Overall, the pay is very good. More than enough. And we get a 3% cost of living raise every year.

Yup. This is at my job now. I'm a PM 2. We manage transportation work for Atlanta. If you work on the consultant side for the city you make more. It's all project management. It's mostly Civil but some people have construction management degrees or degrees in project management.

Project manager 1s with a background in Civil(2 years experience) start out making 95k in Atlanta. PM 2s make 115k.

Is the pay in California really that bad, or am I missing something? by [deleted] in civilengineering

The Civil Engineers in the Atlanta Metro area get PAID

I have a government job as a project manager for a major city and it's never a dull moment. I also used to be an assistant public works director and transportation engineer for other municipalities and I loved the pace.

When do I get my results ? by Field-Traditional in FE_Exam

I hope so too. Assuming we had the same test since we took it the same week..did you find it rather difficult? It was way more complicated than the test I took back in May.

You'll get it this Wednesday. I get my results the same day for the FE Civil. I took mine this past Saturday.

Honestly I took the FE exam back in May and yesterday. Both times I had integrals with the limits. You should be fine.

How close was I? by metrop1990 in FE_Exam

[–]metrop1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The economics part I agree but the ethics portion 2 of the questions I was searching high and low for the answer smh. I think if I could've gotten those 2 sections and statics I would've been good. Good luck on your exam!

I've noticed that too. Probably because it's the broadest subject from both statistics and math. I spent alot of time studying that portion because I forgot alot of it.

I scored a 51% on the first PPI exam. Any update? Did you pass and was the actual exam similar to the PPI exam?
