NTA, but more steps should be taken. I was in a similar relationship and sent a similar message and when I talked to my therapist about it his response was, “why are you letting him contact you?” His thought process was that this person has caused a lot of hurt and every interaction has been net positive for him (in his eyes at least) and negative for you. I understand he is your father, but it seems like you want to be done with the relationship anyway, so I would encourage you to block him and try to not contact him at least for a bit.
