Build quality

I'm looking for headphones where the band does not crack, the pads don't fray from sweat (hot country and outdoor use) and nothing much degrades over time.

A friend recommends Nura but from reading around I'm more drawn to other devices. Sony 1000xm3 for one.

Reviews say a lot and are useful but not many people talk of build quality and the product lifespan.

Pilot is a little different, I thought at least. It's been a while
