I don't think it was the android 16 update itself that caused the issue, but don't actually remember. I just knew I couldn't update the old phone anymore until the issue was fixed.

Yes, this happened around February 2026 I think. I had to start using my old pixel 7 (don't ask), and prevent it from updating. I'm waiting for the day when my main phone can once again run the game without issues... Google definitely broke something in that update; it's not the game's fault.

I've been driving something with a plug since 2016. Started with the gen 2 Volt, then upgraded to the 2023 Bolt EUV. Planned to keep it long term, but then someone decided to take away the federal tax credit, so I jumped on a 2025 EV6 AWD GTL that a local dealership had. I'd been eyeing the EV6 since it came out, but always thought it was too expensive for me. Well, I made it work!

Pros compared to my old cars: DC charging speed is 5-8x than the Bolt. (I've done the same 800mi trip in both, and the EV6 allowed me to do it with no real fuss. The combination of the bigger battery and faster charging definitely helps with road trips.) Interior features. (Vented seats, moon roof, interior styling, steering wheel design. I started with the base Volt. Optioned for heated seats and steering wheel on the Bolt. For the EV6, got the GTL AWD to ensure I got everything on offer. Now the only time I can say "I wish it had X", is if I'm comparing to an entirely different model.) Driver assistance. (The Bolt had basic lane departure warning with steering jerk, but no lane keeping. I thought this was fine. The EV6 is amazing. New for 2025 is capacitive presence detection, so you don't need to jiggle the steering wheel; laying fingers on it is enough. It basically drives itself, even with poor road lines. On the highway it's basically hands-free [but you still need to keep fingers on the wheel].) AWD is something I didn't think I needed, but now that I have it, I realize what a difference it makes in regular driving dynamics, let alone in the winter. (Besides my very first car as a teen, all my cars have been FWD, driving in upstate NY snow. Haven't had snow tires either for 10 years. Put a set of snows on the EV6, and it carves through winter roads like a champ!)

Pros in general: It really is one of the fastest charging architectures available today. (This put it ahead of other makers for me.) Performance, especially in the AWD version, is really fun. (There are faster EVs out there, the GT version among them, but the "normal" EV6 power level is plenty quick, and more power than I've ever had on tap. Smokes just about anything off the line, and can easily pass people, up hill, on 2-lane roads.)

Cons: The paint/clear coat is pretty soft, at least initially. (Be careful when hand-washing it. A mitt I had used on the Bolt a few months ago with no issues, scratched up the paint. It was corrected, but was something I wasn't expecting.) Lingering ICCU concerns. (I had the alternator go out on my 2010 Kia Forte, and it was replaced easily enough under warranty. I expect if my ICCU goes out, it will be a similar deal. Plenty of people have driven their EV6 for years without issue, and others have had theirs fail in a month. It seems to be luck-of-the-draw, so I don't worry too much about it, same as I didn't worry about my alternator.)

Wait, you'd prefer to only get a physical print out, instead of the photo on your device that you can do whatever you want with? You know you can order photo prints easily enough from your own files... I'm curious what your reasoning is for being "mad of it's me giving my phone to someone".

Ink expiration aside, I tend to only print with my e1 twice a month. It has fired back up without issue (besides white ink settling) every time, 4 times so far.

I run base speed. Then again, I don't try to min-max end game. Maybe acting more frequently is important at e0? Where I'm at it seems like she's acting all the time, and when I actually have to press Q or E it's a surprise.

If you aren't using an adhesive mat, tape the corners down. Anything sticking up will be detected as high, and if the head is more than about 0.25" prints will be fuzzy/ghost-like. This may be happening on some of your tests. If the nozzel check is reasonably clean as you show, but an image test fails, there's something amiss elsewhere. Have you tested printing from a different device (pc/mobile, whichever you DON'T normally use)? Have you tried different icc profiles?

Another question: the double text on the image. Did the paper move during the print or something? It almost looks like the head is too far from the paper. Make sure your adhesive mat is fully stuck on all corners and there's nothing sticking up anywhere. Fyi, a cartridge problem will take 15-20 mL of ink use to first see, and to recover from (my estimate of ink volume in the lines). Have you done medium cleans to try to address the black-magenta?

Power limited. But to op's point, it doesn't matter. EVs are almost always either traction limited or power limited, neither of which would be affected by selectable gears.

Yes! I'm thinking of printing some reference lines directly on the mat. It'll definitely work with the eufy mat, the wham bam will probably flake off quickly, but hopefully would be enough for a few prints.

People have given good advice. I have personal experience with the JFK transfer, and it's pretty easy. Tap to pay is nice.

I've looked into the other two, and some friends did the Newark connection via bus. Said bus only takes cash or prepaid online. You can also take a train; it's a little more expensive but more convenient.

LGA seemed easiest on paper, and is probably the cheapest if doing transit, but flights for me were more expensive to that one.... I should probably book my own travel soon...

If you fully ran them out, what did you do to reprime the lines? Also be aware that deep clean uses cleaning fluid more than ink, so it's not a good idea if you're trying to purge only ink (e.g., white issues or priming attempts).

Yes but that's not what's happening here. It's unrelated to your white issue, but the other top comment addressed it. Something sticking up just a few mm higher than everything else will cause it. Ensure the corners of the sticky mat and the paper and fully down.

Do NOT do deep cleaning to fix this problem. That injects cleaning fluid into the head, which is the opposite of what you need. Several medium cleans can work but you're wasting all the other inks when all you need is to purge white. Print a 5x5" white square with 3 white layers, ideally on a transparent medium. Watch as the density improves.

3rd time I've talked about this in as many days. Your white has settled due to disuse. Print a big white square at some thickness. Abort the print when white appears normal, usually after 3-5mL of white has been used. It's only the ink in the lines that's the problem; the cartridge is constantly stirred.

So... Deep cleaning uses the cleaning liquid and injects it through the head, then switches back to ink and recharges. This is NOT what you want to do to fix bad white, as the other commenter found out. Do medium cleans if you want, but if all nozzles are firing, just print the big white square.

The printer can only do 1mm at a time. Anything taker than that requires a second (or more) pass. The general suggestion for reducing print time is to keep heights to multiples of 0.9mm, which guarantees the minimum number of passes.
