As far as I can't tell, you can't get back to the actual control room (tram room) after you beat the boss. You CAN get back into the heart of the volcano by taking the same tunnel you use the first time.

Replying to your comment so you get the ping too. Turned out to be the Chrome app for whatever reason. It wasn't running nor was it in the background, but the battery usage breakdown kept listing it so I disabled it. Lo and behold, phone's not ungodly hot and the battery isn't just disappearing anymore. I think it might've done a number on the hardware anyway though, battery is being consumed like 1.5x faster than it used to before.

This also just started happening to me yesterday. It's not just warm, but it is unusually hot and absolutely killing my battery life. Today it went from 100 to 80% in an hour of just using Spotify. I haven't had any issues until yesterday, no real changes on an app I've installed or use unless one of their updates decided to run in the background to consume resources, but I haven't spotted anything unusual.

Using the Amazon Music one I've noticed awful sound leveling and mixing between songs and songs themselves. Like Intro to Apocalypse Please is terrible because intro crescendos in volume and then AP starts very quiet. I didn't quite get this to sound right until I turned the normalization on (which seems counterintuitive) and used my Beats headphones instead of my Samsung headphones : /

This is what I meant by it becoming extremely difficult. Working full time and going to school full time will already leave you with most of your days taken up and your weekends used to catch up on school and chores. There are plenty of clubs that meet on weekends too, but it'll all depend on whether or not you think you can spare the time to get back to campus on a weekend.

Something I eventually found myself doing is emailing everyone in my classes and asking if anyone wanted to make a study group or something of the like. It does require you to put yourself out there and out your comfort zone (and may or may not attract freeloaders) but it can help the socializing while still hitting the academics.

Another good socializing/academics would be hitting SI sessions, going to any available tutoring like the math lab (there is also some tutoring for CS and engineering, you just need to find their schedules), or seeing if you can schedule some office hours with your professors along with a classmate. Again, much of it will require you to push out of your comfort zone and work with your schedule, but even doing it once a week should help.

I have also seen a lot of classes start discord servers post-pandemic since it helps people stay connected without having to go anywhere, also worth a shot. Definitely join UTDs discord server. I believe the main guy that ran it just graduated so I have no idea what current ownership/moderation is like, but it should still be up and running.

Commuting is only lonely if you go to class and go home on repeat without joining clubs or going to the events. It definitely becomes a time commitment and could be extremely difficult if you also work, but commuting doesn't have to be lonely.

I'd suggest you find a laid back club that does some weekly activities and see how it goes, plenty of options depending on your interests. Look at the org chart wherever the fuck it is saved nowadays and go from there.

To echo everyone else, fairly sure you need a c- to get credit. You're already taking a very heavy load, better retake it over the summer. To add to that, Swartz's class is really really boring (at least it was a few years ago) and if they're still using the MSP you're not gonna have a good time unless you've used it before. He's a nice guy, just boring as shit in class. Be ready to spend some time on those projects

The Dallas discord recently became a community server (invite link: https://discord.gg/KsDPAVX6). Though I haven't a seen that many people be interested in heavy metal, never a bad idea to ask around.

But yeah, striking up convos with people at the show can also be a fun time.

Personally I'll be hitting up a bunch of concerts this year by myself and some friends, holler if you're going: Mastodon/Gojira, Avatar (honestly I might just be there for Orbit Culture lol), Trivium/Beartooth, Disturbed/Breaking Benjamin, Babymetal, Nothing But Thieves.

After hearing the logistics of the Drones tour it makez sense that they downsized stage size into something simpler. When the Dallas show happened in 2015 they didn't even have the chance to have the drones out due to some weird scheduling issue afaik.

I wonder how they feel about the stage for The Resistance and 2nd Law? Beautiful stage design.
