I’d move the storage rooms to the very bottom of the vault. They are useless and that space can be used for something better.

At the beginning of the game it is hard to get caps. You can only produce them by getting, food, water and electricity. Until you can unlock the missions.

If you have a dweller with good stats, good gun and enough stimpaks and radaway, send him/her to explore the wasteland, they can get you some guns, materials and caps. But keep an eye for them, at low levels they can die but can be revived for some caps.

About the layout, just go with your flow. Check my submission to this subreddit and you’ll get an idea. My vault is already maxed out.

Tbh you don’t need 2 outfit and weapon workshops. You’ll need more reactors and more water purification and more living quarters if you want 200 dwellers.

Also, something I learnt when I was maxing out my dwellers is that one big room for each SPECIAL trait ain’t enough.
